Happy Wok — Restaurant in Moreno Valley

Located on Iris Ave. and Lasselle St. in the 'Lakeside Terrace' shopping center, next to Popeyes Chicken with plenty of parking. I love a good fast Chinese Food. The food is ready to be served as you choose your items at the counter, with plenty of choices. The restaurant is clean and organized with a enough tables to sit and enjoy your meal.

I tried their 'Orange Chicken, BBQ Pork, Kung Pao Chicken, and Broccoli Beef served with Fried Rice and Chow mein. The Orange Chicken had a bit of 'wood chip' texture which was not ideal, but had good taste. Everything else tasted really good and fresh. Especially the BBQ Pork, it was one of the best I've had at a fast Chinese. Their Beef and Chicken egg rolls are yummy. Their Thai Tea is soooo good. Service was great. Greeted us promptly, helped me make choices, and we're very pleasant. Even after we sat at the table and ate. As we were gathering our leftovers one of the employees brought us a to go bag without being asked. I had the chow mein, beef broccoli, and bbq chicken while my boyfriend had steamed veggies, orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, and teriyaki chicken. The noodles were good (better than panda express), broccoli beef had crisp veg and meet wasn't fatty, but the bbq chicken was the highlight for me. Full of flavor and still moist. Same for the teriyaki chicken. Chicken tends to be overcooked and dry at places, but not here. Sweet and sour pork was good. Orange chicken was good but no one beats panda express on that. I had a terrible experience at Happy Wok. The fried rice had no flavor, the teriyaki chicken was undercooked, and both the orange chicken and noodles tasted like dishwater. The noodles were soggy and inedible. Almost immediately after eating, my husband and I became extremely sick with diarrhea and vomiting. At the hospital, we were told it was food poisoning. When my husband went back to request a refund, the staff were rude and dismissive. They kept insisting the food was “fresh” and showed no care for our health or the seriousness of the situation. Their lack of professionalism and disregard for food quality is unacceptable. I have already contacted an attorney, and I strongly advise others not to eat here.
