Their smaller fresh fry style fried zucchini are my favorite.
They're a little cheaper than alternatives and don't have in and out lines and crowds. Often they just make more sense location wise.
The patty melt costs so much more, I just get the cheese burger, even though I prefer the melt. Though they are rye melt and I prefer sour dough. Their burgers are solid and my aunt liked their breakfasts.
Eat in drinks are more watery than drive thru, fyi. They're still ok. Although, I prefer water as my refill personally to more soda, etc.
I like that they have Mr. Pibb, root beer, Fanta orange, Fanta Strawberry. Their three flavors of horchata, one should miss. They're not the same milk premix many places have, which is good, but they're ingredient ratio is off and watery. Not a patch on real hand made authentic horchata.
They don't realize I'm technically a regular, because I'm not the one that got delivery or drive thru directly. It's interesting to see them treat me ok, but distinctly different.

Read moreA couple of days ago I decided to go to one of my little favorite spots and grab a Double bacon BLT combo I didn't notice that I was charged twice for my order, and I wasn't happy when I noticed that I had been charged twice ,and I on my way to work so I couldn't actually go back. But when I called the management there, they were apologetic for the era and told me that I was more than welcome to come back and received my refund. So I didn't go back until the day after, and I was greeted with apologies. I was also asked if I wanted something. I stated no when I got to the window? I said, "Let's just go ahead and give me another BLT combo well with receiving my fresh order." I also received my money back. I thought that was the sweetest thing that anybody had ever done for me. so yes, Jack junior double bacon BLT combo and the pastrami burger is the BIZZNESS . Thanks to the management at Jack's. Your company is the best for such integrity. It is very much appreciated, and you definitely made my day, so I'll definitely be coming back...
Read moreDriving home from my brother's wedding, I got a bit nostalgic for greek style burgers that I used to get when I first stepped into the trappings of grooms-man-ship, lo these many years ago.
In a move that no one could have anticipated, I spontaneously exited the 60 at Heacock Street looking for a place to park while I searched on Yelp for these treasures of a bygone era.
Fate, it seems, has smiled upon me, as it was a shaded space at Jack's Junior where we found ourselves.
Gotta give them props for portion size. And add another star for the steaming fried zucchini that scalded the interior membranes of my right cheek.
But the pastrami burger, although acceptable, did not live up to the cherished remembrances fostered by those Bell Gardens greek joints and their Mediterranean take on a classic diner favorite... a crotch kick to my high expectations indeed.
Who knows, maybe it just needed some...
