Food is always on point. This is why we like to order from there. Great 24 hour late night place when you are tired of jack in the box being the only place open. There is usually one girl working late at night. She is polite and very thorough about checking the condiments you request and the silverware etc. During these hours of midnite to 4am the dining room seems to be empty. Most people are probably doing take outs. I'm sure this waitress makes a living from her tips. So please tip her even though you are only doing a togo order because finding staff that is good at what they do plus has a friendly attitude is hard to come by. Despite rating Dennys high for service and the food quality, I had to rate low on the actual environment. This is not the employee's fault. This is something that management needs to handle. I've been to a lot of Denny's when I travel where the place is neat and clean looking, yet they have rude staff, long waits, locked doors for no reason, and mediocre food. This is not the case here. I hate to see a place that has great food, along with great staff, just to have such a low rating on the actual environment. You can't help but notice when you walk in that most of the chairs ripped up pretty badly. The salt and pepper shakers and ketchup bottles on the tables look like they needed to be wiped down. The carpet has some sort of electrical tape on it near the front I guess to cover rips. I used the bathroom while waiting on my order and there was some sort of raw sewage smell coming from in there. The bathroom itself was messy as well (I won't go into detail we get the drift). Even if it was cleaned, that sewage smell is obviously coming from the plumbing. Raw sewage is something you can't see, but you can smell it terribly. This cannot be a problem the nightly employees are supposed to fix. This is a problem management would have to call for a plumber to fix. When customers see the dining room chairs torn up and then the bathroom like this they may think this place is not going to have good food. When that isn't the case here. I don't know how management lets this go down. Even managers also have a manager that is supposed to manage them and make sure the store is being run properly. That manager isn't even doing their job. Even that manager has a manager. There are assistant managers, and general managers, that work in store. There are district managers that over see several stores. The district managers job is to check on these things. That district manager also has a corporate manager. There's too many people responsible for the store to let this type of thing happen. Denny's please deep clean your dining room, replace the carpet, get the chairs recovered, call a plumber. The money you think you are saving by not fixing this is really costing you repeat customers in...
Read moreWho are they? Burger Den or Denny’s? On Doordash they’re called Burger Den and in real life they’re called Denny’s. How many names is one restaurant allowed to have? Denny’s isn’t a bad name. I don’t know why they feel the need to change their name on Doordash. It shows a lack of confidence on their end. I don’t know about other people, but when I order food from a restaurant I want that restaurant to be confident in their name. I want them to be confident in their abilities to feed me. If they feel the need to hide behind another name, it shows me that they’re not confident in themselves. If they’re not confident in themselves, how do they expect people to be confident in them. Anyways, I got a veggie burger from Denny’s/Burger Den. It was an okay veggie burger, but I was more impressed by their social media presence than their burgers. Burger Den/Denny’s is on Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and more. I watched a few of their YouTube videos and while it didn’t really float my boat, maybe it will float someone else’s boat. Overall my experience at Denny’s/Burger Den was pretty good. Their social media presence is strong, their veggie burgers are okay, and their name confidence is weak. I believe they can improve. Hopefully one day Denny’s/Burger Den will only have one name, their veggie burgers will be too good to handle, and their Youtube videos will start to even...
Read moreStopping by Denny's for a late-night bite turned out to be an unexpectedly delightful experience. We stopped by for a quick bite after some late night shopping at the nearby Walmart. Everything else had closed just shortly before. I was apprehensive about Dennys as I have had terrible experiences at other Dennys in San Jose.
Our waitress, a shining beacon of friendliness, greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Her genuine enthusiasm and attentiveness elevated our dining experience to a whole new level. She effortlessly anticipated our needs and ensured that our orders were taken promptly.
And speaking of food, Denny's did not disappoint. We needed some hearty comfort food and our dishes arrived promptly, piping hot and bursting with flavor. We got the sampler plate and a stack of pancakes to share which we felt was plenty to for us. The portion of the sampler plate was more than enough for the two is us and the pancakes looked exactly as they did in the menu! So fluffy and big.
In conclusion, our late-night stop at Denny's was surprisingly well worth it. With delicious food, cozy ambiance, and outstanding service, it's no wonder why this iconic diner is a favorite among late-night diners. We'll definitely be back to this location, for more unforgettable dining experiences...
