Bojangles — Restaurant in Morganton

On February 25th 2024, approximately 1:15 p.m. I went to Bojangles to pick up a doordash order. The doordash order was named Mia. I was being ignored by the black young woman that was running the front counter numerous times. After about 15 minutes of waiting quietly and patiently at the pickup sign. I asked how her how much longer will it take for Mia's order to be ready? The young black lady running the register told me I had to wait that everyone else comes first. I told her that's not how doordash works. I've been standing here for over 15 minutes, not including a 5 to 7 minute drive to get there. At that point she starts cussing me out and refuses to serve me Mia's doordash order. She cussed me out numerous times. The other black girl in the back working the kitchen was holding her back because she was trying to fight me. I have video of this if Bojangles management needs to see it. Or you can look at your cameras for February 25th between 1:15 and 1:45 p.m. Finally the other black girl working in the back got her to calm down and that black girl fixed Mia's order very aggressively and was very rude when I left. I was on the phone with doordash the entire time. They heard the Bojangles employee cussing me out and trying to fight me. They have everything documented. Feel free to call door dash. I let Mia know what was going on with her order and why it was taking so long and I also told her to check her order to make sure that no one sabotaged her food. The young skinny black girl that ran the register on February 25th around 1:15 p.m. needs to be fired!! She does not need to be in customer service at all!! She obviously doesn't know how to properly handle customer service and she obviously doesn't know how doordash works. I called doordash and was on the phone with them the entire time. Doordash heard the Bojangles employee cussing me out and trying to fight me. I was there for a total of 20 minutes before I received the order from the other black girl that works in the kitchen. The young black girl that was running the register caused a scene for no reason. She literally ignored me and treated me rudely the entire time I was there. It almost felt like a racial situation because I was the only white person waiting to pick up a delivery and she also ignored the white man at the register who was waiting to order, just as long as I waited. She made sure to fix everyone else's food with no issues but they weren't white. Bojangles please check your cameras for information. I've never had a problem with this Bojangles until today & as a dasher, I go here alot!! Normally the food is already ready for me to pick up as soon as I get there, except for today. Don't go to the Morganton NC location ever! You get treated like white trash.

Also employees need to wear name tags!!! I will be calling corporate & filing a report on this location & their disrespectful racist employees.

I just want to start off by letting you know that I was really looking forward to trying Bojangles. It was my 1st time.. and when I saw the menu I had to order a couple of extra sides to try. It didn't take but a minute to get to the window.. then we waited. Friendliness and good customer service skills seem to not be a requirement of the crew that we got to work with. They were definitely uuuggh. I think the lady that eventually came to the window and finished taking care of us was a manager. She seemed frustrated with the others failing to do their jobs. She faced the other way the entire time except to hand us our order.. and rebag our sides because the bag broke on the way to my window. Her nails were cute. It took a whole 3 minutes to get home. My food was not warm. The fries had been reheated. I worked fast food so when I tell you they were reheated trust me that I know what I'm talking about. The chicken was seasoned good and I liked it. I got a dipping sauce to go with it. Because I'd never had it before I wanted to taste the chicken on its own first. With the dipping sauce it really was kinda gross. I had a half tender with the sauce and went back to none. Their tenders seriously are seasoned just right that they don't need anything at all. Those 2 extra sides I just had to try.. cole slaw and mac & cheese 😋 They were both REALLY good!!! The cole slaw was like MeeMaw used to make back in the day.. and that mac & cheese my goodness.. it was like Big Mama put it together. For the tenders and those sides I know if I'm looking to get something out I may stop and get them to bring home. Maybe we caught them on a bad day or something and everyone was in a funk.. who knows. I can't say I'll...

The last time I went, will be the last time for a while. This place has slid terribly!

I placed an order on the app and was told a time to arrive. I chose curbside pickup and checked in when I arrived. I waited about 15 minutes with no movement, even though several cars had made it through the drive thru, plus customers inside were being served. I went in to ask about my order and was told they were just starting on it, 25 minutes AFTER it was supposed to be ready.

I went back to my car and waited another 10 minutes before I went back in to check on my order. I still had to wait another 10 minutes before it was ready. When I got to my car, I decided to check and make sure that everything was there, of course it wasn't, so I had to go inside for the 3rd time to retrieve the items that were not included 45 minutes AFTER the order was supposed to be ready for CURBSIDE pickup.

The inside was filthy and trash was visible under the counters and work areas in the kitchen. The manager offered no refund, discount, or apology, just a casual we're short staffed and someone quit in the middle of the shift.

When we got home, the Bo-rounds were hard as a brick and old. Needless to say, they were inedible and went outside to the birds. The biscuits were old and hard as well. The meat and eggs were cold and the cheese wasn't even melted.

Having to wait that long for an online, curbside pickup order is ridiculous, but what makes it even worse is waiting that long for inedible food. It definitely was a waste of money and it will be a very long time before I try this place...
