Note: I've been told after the health department. showed up, and the manager changed to someone I know it's good and caring, that things are changing for the better. You should really still watch your intake of LC, though... 😉
Please do yourself and your family a favor, don't eat here!!! The owners have come up with a scheme to not throw away the chicken wings like they're supposed to: They just re-sticker them, and even save them overnight for the next day. The reason I was given for this was "Chicken wings are expensive..." After some time of having this lay on my conscious, I started throwing them away. The head "Manager" Kaleena, told me I'd have to "Take it up with Dave(owner)", and I came right back and told her it's against the law, so he could take it up with me if he so chose, I was done being intimidated. As soon I did this my hours were cut, so I ended up quitting immediately. The people in charge here don't care about health, and aren't worth your money. It's sad too, because there are a lot of good hard working people there who are too afraid to rock the boat, and jeopardize their income. As if their food isn't unhealthy enough as it is, there are dangerous conditions at this restaurant that are (purposefully) not being corrected that make it even worse for you. Steer clear!
Also, there's metal coming off the bread pans and dough ball former, and getting into the dough. I was told the owner is too cheap to replace the bad part in the dough machine ($1000 part, so I was told). When I confronted Dave with the metal coming off the pans, he acted concerned and said he'd look for us some new ones, but wasn't even interested in how many were to be replaced (I got the count anyway, he dismissively said "Oh okay, I'll look for some"). After some weeks of waiting, no new pans ever showed up. I could tell he didn't care, and was just blowing me off. It had even gone as far as sending pictures of the tiny chunks of aluminum. Some fake concern later, and absolutely nothing was done. (It's not all the pans, but quite a few of them are bad.)
These are the reasons I quit and why I'm filing a health complaint against them. The owner Dave Kastelic and his son Joe know about these things and refuse to do anything about it. Maybe they'll start paying attention when their sales drop, or the health department shows...
Read moreUsually a fan of quick and easy pizza but this location in particular was a let down it was Thursday evening around 920 knowing they close at 10pm I tried several times to call and place an order with no answers of the phone, so I decided to drive over there being in only a few blocks away. I arrive to this location approximately 9:35 pm and the crew is busy thrashing to close down. Which I wouldn’t mind knowing they close soon but I ask if they have any deep dish pizzas and said I tried to call several times and was met with a very poor attitude from the girl behind the counter. I was told it was to late to make a pizza and they had only a hot and ready left if I wanted it (which wasn’t hot) and I was basically pushed out the door and not allowed to order anything else I was back at my home by 945. Now I know that they close at 10 but being a half hour before close you would think asking to order a pizza wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Guess if that’s how they want to do business this location will be...
