Asian Fusion Kitchen — Restaurant in Morganton

From the moment you walk in, not only are you greeted by warm smiling faces but the atmosphere is very fun. From the many colorful items hanging from the ceiling to the Asian decor and theme ✨️ it feels very vibrant from the moment you walk inside. We sat on the Hibachi side, which continued the colorful decorations, but we're able to see the many Thai dishes that people had ordered on the other side. The smell when you walk in had aromas of spice and seasoning you could smell the thai curry and see the portions were generous. Our family of 10 fit comfortably around our open grill table and were greeted immediately for drinks. After that, we ordered our appetizers and meals, and very soon, our chef for the night Pee-Wee came to the table. From the moment he greeted all of us, we noticed first a contagious smile and laugh that was present the entire experience. He was so inviting and pleasant (especially with the little ones), and we enjoyed his many jokes and pokes at us during our meal. Pee-Wee shared that his family was from Laos, and he loved cooking Hibachi and had done it for many years. He was one of the most genuine staff I've come across in a long time, and his playfulness with other employees was contagious as well. The entire restaurant seemed to carry his smile and laughter around the entire place. They even invented 🤣 their own dinner language and entertained our little guests teaching the words and phrases to say. I ordered the Hibachi steak and chicken a combination plate and when I tell you Pee-Wee made the most DELICIOUS medium-rare filet I've had in a long time, I never picked up a knife the steak separated with my fork. My steak was so good that I even shared with 4 other people at the table as I couldn't believe how seasoned and tender the beef was. We had the traditional accompaniments with dinner but something we didn't expect was Pee-Wee letting us try all 5 sauces we could have with our meal and making sure we took our time deciding what sauce would be our favorite. The mustard, teriyaki, shrimp sauce, and ginger were so good I couldn't stop talking about them. As dinner 🍽 ended, we were almost sad to leave but knew as it ended that we would be back as there were many items we still wanted to try. If you want something different but not unfamiliar, give them a try. I can't think of any reason that you wouldn't find something on the menu even if you're a first-timer. We couldn't stop saying thank you leaving this Birthday dinner and the prices are unbeatable compared to mang similar places you already dine! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! My husband and I went to eat here for the first time last Saturday night and there were only two other table that were already seated and food on their tables. We ordered after waiting 5 minutes. Then a party of 4 came in and placed their orders. Another 10 minutes rolled by and then that party was served their appetizers. We asked the waitress if she was going to bring out my husbands soup as now 15 minutes have rolled by and she simply said, "Yes", and walked off. She returned 5 minutes later with the party of 4's food and we stopped her and asked her how come we have not been served our food and she replied, "Oh I forgot to turn your ticket in." No apologies at all. We explained to her that we had a movie to get to and that we could not wait any longer for our food to be served. She still did not apologize, but said, "Well you owe me $2 for the drink." It took everything I had not to say more than that I was not going to pay for the drink and told her thanks a lot. We love this place!! We live out of town but whenever we are close by visiting family, we love to eat here! The food is so good! It had been a while since we had been here so wasn’t sure if the food would be the same quality, but it was still amazing! They were closing at 8pm and we came in and 7:15pm after a family funeral visitation, more family ended up coming than what was expected (we were 14 total) and the service couldn’t have been better! They have 2 hibachi tables and family could choose that or to order off the regular menu! It was a crowd pleaser for sure!! I felt so bad we ended up being a large group and they had to stay long after close but they were so kind and service and food was exceptional!
