Waterbean Coffee — Restaurant in Morganton

Great local spot to get coffee and do some work. All employees are very friendly, and occasionally they'll offer to take your dishes/trash when you're done with your drink/meal. Speaking of drinks/meals, I always switch up my drink order depending on my mood and, like most establishments, they can be hit or miss depending on your preferences! Most of their coffees aren't very sweet as they use a lighter amount of syrup than Starbucks, which I personally prefer, but if you want your coffee sweet then they'll sweeten it up, no problem! My personal favorite thing on their menu is the Waterbean Special, with the Nova Lox being a close second. I tend to avoid the breads/muffins, they've always been a little too dry for me 🥲 The music can be a liiiiittle loud, but they turn it down when asked. We needed a place to hang out and also a place with great coffee. This place is rated well by a pastor friend and also by my son. So … here we are. My experience is that the atmosphere is very nice and inviting. It has the atmosphere of “community” and seems to a place for gathering with friends ~ and family. My coffee makes me want to have another for the road. I will be back. They have many choices of coffees and teas. Now ~ the service. … exceptional! My wife and I stopped in there to try their coffee selection. She ordered a mocha frappe and I ordered a salted Carmel latte. Her mocha frappe didn't have much flavor at all. The Carmel latte didn't have much flavor either. The staff acted like they didn't want to be there. Then we were asking about the menu and the lady told us to hold on and disappeared. We stood there for about ten minutes and we just left. We wanted to try a few other items while there, but the staff blew us off. Hopefully they can do better in the future.
