Mighty Dollar LLC — Local services in Morganton

My mom and I went in the store a few weeks ago. We both purchased several items. And as many know you get in there and find several deals..it is easy to lose track of how many items you have. We paid and left the store. After we got home and putting the items away, my mom realized she was overcharged by $12.00. She called the store and talked to the manager. The manager said the cashier was new and she would have to call the head office. She ended up having to email them. She was told they would look into it. A week went by and she had to reach out to them again. They told her they would not do anything about it. My mom didn't ask for her money back she was fine with store credit. They could have checked their cameras. I hate to think that a company would lose business over $12.00. Watch out if you choose to shop here. They really need to hire some damn cashiers...

I have to say I am very disappointed in mighty dollar...I love the dollar stores and the deals you can get but my visit to the morganton store today really got under my skin....not only did they refuse the payment method my friend was using after we paid in cash for our items we were informed they WILL NOT bag drinks or bread!!!! Who does that??? Then I was so blown away by how rude the cashier got as she pointed out the very small hand written sign at the register I absent mindly tried walking out the sentence door the she got very smart mouthed say please use the correct door to exit...I don't do rude...or hateful from other people very well...we were spending money in this store just to be refused bags for our...

Usually I find quite a few things for birthday parties and things like that. Not the friendliest people usually but not bad. I wish they were more uniform with their policies. The past 5 times I have went in, I can use my work badge as id for my debit card (which also has my picture). But today the lady refused to do that. they never specifically have said it has to be a state issued id. Every other worker has said as long as it has a picture that’s fine. So today of course is the day I couldn’t find my license (dropped it in between the seats of my car 🙄) so she refused to let me buy my 23 items.

If it specifically has to be a state id, that’s fine but they need to be uniform in their policies and tell everyone the same...
