Last Saturday, I had just got my haircut and was craving a gyro. I also heard that the old Nick's Canteen/Campus Canteen on N High Street was under new management. I would just pop in, have a gyro, and be on my way.
Unfortunately, they do not have gyros. So upon finding that out, I turned to leave.
Then the guy who helped me ran outside and said, "Do you like Philly cheesesteaks?"
I had to at least hear the man out.
Ronnie got me a beer and got started on the cheesesteak and some fries. Women's basketball was on, the beer was cold, and I was chilling in 304 Canteen.
So not only did Ronnie convince me to come back in, but he also made a mean cheesesteak and fries. If I had nothing else to do, I would've had another beer or two as well.
Although, I didn't get my gyro, I did get a delicious meal for about $12 before the beer. I'm hoping to come back soon with friends to have another cheesesteak or to try something else on the menu.
