The service was good but there’s a male employee that was really rude. Management needs to educate staff on basic communication skills. Apparently, they are having issues with people parking in the retail store parking section of the mall. This male staff (a chubby guy) came out of the store screaming at us for parking in the retail store parking section, thinking that we were not going to the store. He was rude, unprofessional and very selective to confront women and not men. We explained to him that we were going to eat inside the store but were putting something in the car trunk. He responded back in a nasty way that he didn’t care, that if we were not going inside the store right away, we needed to move the car. Well, long story short, we went inside the store and requested the server to sit us right in front of that parking section window. While we were in the store, multiple guys parked there, didn’t go to the store, and this employee didn’t confront them. We requested to talk to one of the managers and she apologized. The food was great, our server was awesome, but that employee was rude and unprofessional. It’s sad that IHop, a good restaurant, has an employee like that giving customers a bad impression. My daughter didn’t want to go inside and eat after this incident, but I explained to her that this employee is not the owner of the store or the parking and that he doesn’t represent what IHop is. Good luck IHOP!!! Please train your staff on how to communicate, specially if you have parking issues. There’s a way of saying things in a respectful way.
Recommendation: for parking related issues, the mall/ IHOP should hire a security guard. An IHOP employee with IHOP uniform and apron should stick to his job inside the store and portray a professional image of a good server/manager with excellent customer service skills. Sticking the head out of the store back or front door to yell at people for parking space issues (regardless of the situation) contradicts the friendly image and...

Read moreUnfortunately, our trip to this establishment left us very sick. I first visited this establishment when it opened in 2016. The food was made hot and fresh to your specifications of how you wanted it done. It was very on point. The service from the staff was phenomenal. Fast forward two years. The food that we ordered was not fresh nor hot. Nor was the coffee or the hot water that your supposed to get when you order hot tea. We sat at the table for almost ten minutes before someone took our order. The young ladies that were at the register were too busy talking, taking smoke breaks, and paying attention to the white people while ignoring us the black people. The food that we ordered was overcooked and dry. Portions of it was so hard that it seemed as if, it had been sitting under a heat lamp or left in a pot with the top off drying out. It was so hard that I couldn't even use my fork on it to break it up. Other portions were undercooked. I couldn't find a manager to speak with about the customer service, which I later found out that he could not take care of the front of the house, due to him being in the kitchen cooking. What made it worse, was that the Management was cooking and allowed this type of food to be sent out to a customer, that is not professional. I understand that sometimes businesses will be understaffed, but that's no excuse for proper service. You should never send subpar food out to your customers to consume. There should always be a manager to take care of any customer concern. No matter what, there should not be any exceptions. I will not be giving this establishment any more of my business. If, I could give a negative review that would give them no...
