Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Morris

Had to change my review after years of coming here. One employee and the other guy in the drive through protecting him. They refused to give me the guys name, or a mangers information, so here I am. My daughter wanted icecream, so we came to Dairy Queen in Morris. I’ve been coming here for about 45 years. I didn’t believe the reviews, I thought no way could these guys be rude or mean to anyone. I learned the hard way today. I was told before they won’t accept two orders through drive through, so I sent my nephew inside bet his order. I got my daughter’s icecream and pulled over where they normally have us wait for our order to wait for my nephew to come out. A man with a beard came out and said you got your order, what are you doing? I said I know, I’m sorry, Im just waiting for my nephew to come out. He said, no!!! You’re blocking my damn driveway, go park somewhere else and wait, get the hell out of my driveway!!! That’s what everyone in my car heard him say. I went around the block, came back through the drive through and told them I wanted a refund, and yelled, get the hell out of my driveway?!?! That’s how you talk to customers?!?!I could hear the guy say he didn’t cuss, and everyone in my car said yes you did!! When I got to the window, I told that guy my nephew wanted a refund too. I told the guy to his face that he was lying. I don’t want to cause people problems, and I hate that people think they can talk to people any kind of way anymore!! I have many choices to go for icecream. We will no longer be choosing Dairy Queen in Morris. I miss the family owned business it used to be. There’s an amazing creamery in Minooka, called Minooka creamery!! Amazing place, and not far from here. And for Burgers and fries, we will go to Dave’s Dogs!! They are very kind people, and family owned. We love them!! They are cheaper too! Adding to this review, they are always and forever not giving you your entire order anyway. Multiple people are saying the staff has changed for the worse. I’m glad I’m not alone here only one that’s sen the change. I will be adding my review everywhere I can find to do so. Absolutely horrible. It is Mother’s Day and my kids and myself went here for dinner. We had a mobile order and when arrived I provided that as well as we will be dining in. Said she would look into it. After many others came in to order and grab food I went up to ask about my order everyone else already ordered and received food. My food was sitting by heater and 2 people grabbed to feel how warm it was and continued to place it in a to go bag. When told this they stack all my food and only one drink on the end he where it fell on the floor. My order was missing a second drink and a side. They gave me a Vanilla Coke instead of chocolate. I told them my daughter would coke back for chocolate when she was finished with her food. My daughter is like 4 foot tall but tall enough to see by the registers. No one knowledged her and went I arrived at counter a guy in line that was leaving told the lady that the little girl needed help before she would even ask her what she needed. She ordered a chocolate ice cream where another little girl walked it over while my daughter was also walking to the table. Slammed it down daid nothing and walked away. If this is how a good restaurant treats customers it should not be open. It is pretty sad when my daughter says hey mom, everyone’s looking at you and whispering everyone. As in all the workers it’s supposed to be a restaurant not drama. If there are not adult supervision then this place needs to be closed down. No reason for such actions in our community on Mother’s Day. Absolutely terrible experience for over $30. Everyone working about 4 girls and 1 young boy should all re trained on...

A friend and I ordered 2 banana splits, no chocolate sauce to eat there. I guess people are trained to make an item without omissions or substitutions. 4 people working there and there was no one else in the dining room. Their first question " would you loke somethung inplace of the chocolate sauce?" I said "yes, strawberries on both." "Do you want strawberries on the other one?" Again, "yes, both." I stoid at the counter and watched 3 people assemble a banana split, when one was done instead of giving it to me they set it behind a wall. Then I watched the whole process again. It took 10 minutes. That's 5 minutes per split. Again it went behind the wall. Then it magically appeared on a tray. I went to take it drom her and was told " No, I have to bring it over to your table and set it down." All I sais was "really?" Well there not as big as they used to be and there price has inflated as everything else. And they are not as good as I remember, no nuts, no cherry. I am sure for a couple of bucks more I could have gotten it but I am sure it wouldn't have been worth it. It was a nice walk back in time, but Ill wait another 10 years when I am sure they will be around $15 each and still...
