I accompanied some friends for dinner. The restaurant appeared clean & we were seated promptly. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered a chili relleno a la carte. My friends ordered complete meals & cheese dip for the table. I've had cheese dip at a multitude of Mexican restaurants, but theirs was definitely the best I've had. It was extraordinarily creamy & seemed not to clump up the way many do. The relleno had not only the cheese I'm accustomed to, but also ground beef. It was served piping hot & was quite flavorful even though the pepper was not spicy at all. My friends enjoyed their dishes. I would have given them 5 stars, but we had to ask 3 times, 2 different servers for a refill on the tortilla chips & our drinks. The little things matter! I've been to many Mexican restaurants over the years, but this is by far the very best of them all! There were five in our dinner party, one of whom is a professional chef. After finishing his meal, his comment was "This is the best I've ever eaten!" Not only was the food excellent, but the ambiance was relaxing and friendly. Our server got every order correct, checked on us frequently and shared his great sense of humor with us, which we all enjoyed! Two other staff members made friendly appearances. We’ve ate here a lot and it’s been normally clean except tonight. The waitress had her hair all over the place fanning herself in the kitchen with a bowl while wipping sweat off her face then serving food without washing her hands. We found hair in our food and a horrible bathroom like smell through out the place. They lost our business. Oh and by the way when someone finds a hair in their food the waitress shouldn’t say “oh it adds flavor”...
