Jalsa Indian kitchen by K Charcoal — Restaurant in Morristown

The food here is amazing!!! We have been to many, many Indian food restaurants, in Toronto Canada, (where there are many), Florida, where there are also many to try, but this one is the absolute best, (I am not kidding!) Indian food I have ever had the pleasure of eating!!!

All the various sauces are made fresh daily, even the meat is delivered from a local farm, fresh, never frozen.

The Tandoor Oven, is a genuine Clay oven, were you can taste the charcoal flavoring from anything cooked in it. (Sadly, some Indian restaurants no longer use the genuine Tandoor Charcoal type oven, they use "Natural Gas" which gives no flavour at all to the chicken or Naan Bread.

The owner was extremely friendly, and even showed me his kitchen...what impressed me the most was how clean it was, just like the restaurant itself!

After eating my wife and I looked at each other & said we had one of those rare moments where the food is so good and flavourful that it's like total sheer pleasure!!!

This restaurant gets my highest approval for Indian Cuisine, so much so that i don't even mind doing the 1 hour drive from Kingsport To Morristown TN.

Put a smile on your face that won't easily go away, I think I can guarantee, once you have enjoyed this calibre of Indian Food, you will already be planning your return visit!

Going to try the buffet next time! Also, you can choose the Spice level as mild, medium or hot.

As I previously mentioned, it is worth the drive from Kingsport TN. Everyone is soooo friendly...Tons of parking..Food served hot.

I’ve ordered to-go from this place twice now over the last few months while working near Morristown, and both times, it has completely blown me away. From the moment I walked in, the employees have been some of the kindest, most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered at ANY restaurant.

Both times, they have gone above and beyond—offering me a seat, extra food to enjoy while I waited, and even water to drink. They made sure I was comfortable and didn’t need anything while my order was being prepared. The level of customer service here is so outstanding that I couldn’t even leave the parking lot before writing this review!

On top of all that, the food is absolutely fantastic. The flavors are rich, authentic, and truly worth the drive. I live in Sevierville, and even when I’m not working near Morristown, I’ll gladly make the trip just to eat here again.

I had an incredible dining experience at Jalsa Indian Kitchen! The atmosphere was absolutely amazing, creating a perfect backdrop for a delightful evening. I started with the paneer pakoras as an appetizer, which set the bar high for the rest of the meal. Then, I tried the pomegranate chicken tikka, which was bursting with flavor, and the egg masala with rice, which was to die for! The garlic naan was wonderful, perfectly complementing the dishes, and the hakka chicken noodles were scrumptious as well.

To top it all off, I enjoyed a South Indian filter coffee and finished with a mouth-watering kheer that was simply divine. The service was beyond attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. If you haven't been to Jalsa Indian Kitchen, you're missing out. This was hands down the best birthday dinner I've had in a long time! I can't wait to come back and explore more of their...
