My wife, mom, sister and I recently went for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We actually weren’t sure they were open because, despite calling during their posted hours, nobody answered our several phone calls. Fortunately, my sister lives down the street so she walked over to see if they were open. Strange. When we arrived we were pleased to see a small but intimate and well-decorated dining room. We only ever saw one employee the entire time: our server, who was very kinda and gracious and delivered everything with a smile. Unfortunately he would not, or was not allowed to, answer the phone, which rang continuously our entire meal, and explains the conundrum we had. Again, strange. Fortunately the food was fantastic. They have an excellent 3-course lunch special, which includes a salad, pasta dish, and a cannoli for dessert. The salad was a standard green salad with vinaigrette, nothing special, but my pasta dish was legitimately outstanding. I got the Angel Hair Mediterranean, which had firm fresh shrimp and plump sweet scallops. I ate every morsel on my plate. Unfortunately there were a couple imperfections, most notably my sister and wife ordered the pappardelle bolognese and both got spaghetti. But all four of us thoroughly enjoyed the quality of food. Portofino is a cozy and comfortable restaurant with delicious pastas and greater potential, but they need to clean up the professionalism a bit and, I dunno, maybe have someone answering the phone.

I came here for a surprise 30th birthday party. I must say I was very impressed with the service and the food. This isn't a big place but it was perfect for our group. You can use one or two rooms. The atmosphere is cozy. It's a BYOB. There's some outdoor seating too. We started with Hot Appetizers and they were constantly being passed. We were served Mini Crab Cakes,Stuffed Clams Oreganata , Chicken Skewers,Rice Balls,StuffedMushrooms, Baby Grilled cheese Sandwiches, Mini Ruben appetizers are just a few to mention. Then we went on to Caesar Salad, Ginger Calamari, and Prosciutto Mozzarella and Roasted Peppers. Then on to the pasta course. We had Penne Al La Vodka, and Pasta in a homemade Pomodoro Sauce. Both of these pastas were excellent. After that we were given three different dishes to share family style. The first dish that was served was Bruschetta Salmon, then Veal Milanese, and Chicken Francese. All three dishes were delicious. I was so full I didn't think I could eat another bite until dessert came out. I had a piece of the delicious Birthday Cake, and some Italian pastries. I just paced myself and slowly ate a bite here and there. Portofino's served so much food. Everything was really good. I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this place for dinner, get together, or a party.

A huge thanks to the staff at Portofino's. Was in Morristown for the Verizon Corporate Classic and was one of the parents overlooking a bunch teenagers who volunteered. At the conclusion of the race, our group pretty much took over their outdoor seating area to treat the kids with some pizza. Having been to events were large amounts of pizza are are served, I know it could be hit or miss when it comes to tasty pizza with freshness being not east to manage. I must say, they knocked it out of the park with fresh pizza that was warm and tasty. After a busy night, I can only imagine the last thing the staff wanted was a large group invading their dinning room when they were so close to going home. Despite our group size and pizza only order, thr staff was awesome. The outdoor dinning area was perfect atmosphere for our group. Did not explore their menu any further but would definitely return for a nice outdoor patio experience bringing my favorite bottle (quick disclaimer- pretty sure it's byob )

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Portofino's is a hidden gem in Morristown that you absolutely must try!

This charming Italian restaurant is a true neighbourhood favourite, perfect for families and anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine.

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure your dining experience is top-notch. And the best part? You can choose to dine inside their cozy interior or enjoy the lovely outdoor seating area on a nice day.

Now, let's talk about the food - it's simply outstanding! Every dish is bursting with flavour and prepared with genuine Italian flair.

Their classic menu offers something for everyone (kids included), from mouthwatering pasta dishes to perfectly cooked chicken entrees. Don't miss their popular Angel Hair Mediterranean or the delicious Chicken Francese - they're crowd-pleasers for sure!

What really sets Portofino's apart is its family-owned charm and commitment to quality. It's clear that they pour their heart and soul into every aspect of the restaurant.

Plus, it's a BYO establishment, so you can bring your favourite wine to complement your meal[2].

If you're in the Morristown area, make sure to put Portofino's at the top of your must-visit list. It's the perfect spot for a special occasion, a family dinner, or just a fantastic Italian meal any day of the week. Trust me, you won't be disappointed - it's a true taste of Italy right here...
