2 WEEK UPDATE: THE GUY OVER THIS STORE AND STORE IN ELIZABETHTON STORE REACHED OUT. WE TALKED ON THE PHONE AND HE PROMISED TO GET BACK TO ME WITH A RESOLUTION THEN COMPLETLY GHOSTED ME. I EMAILED HIM BACK ASKING IF HE'D FORGOT ABOUT ME WHICH HE ALSO IGNORED. What an absolute joke. Appalling customer service and very poor food. Ordered pickup online and was missing a sour cream and 2 cups of mild sauce. No biggie, so I run inside and ask for the missing things. The girl immediately argued that I was only supposed to get 2 sour creams not 3 until I showed her the receipt. Then the girl on the line wouldn't give her 2 more cups of sauce saying " I already gave him one for free, your supposed to pay for that" very loud and rudely. The other girl them came up front and said I'd have to pay (again not a problem so I pulled out my debit card) she rung up the 2 mild sauces on the computer and the screen said $0. She then poked around on the computer for another 30 seconds seemingly trying to find a way to charge me until realizing they were wrong and said looks like they are supposed to be free. She went to the line to make the 2 cups of sauce and in the process got a phone call which was obviously a customer complaint by her responses. She just stopped filling up my sauces and I patiently waited for over 2 minutes while she argued with the customer over the phone. While the other 2 girls made faces obviously annoyed to be bothered by customers. Until I finally said can I please get my 2 sauces. She made them and handed them to another girl who huffily gave them to me. Then I get home and the portion sizes of most items ordered were a complete joke! See photos of side by side of restaurant photo vs what we actually received. Needless to say I will not be back to this...
Read moreMy family and I visit the Morristown location of Taco John's on a pretty regular basis. The quality of the service has been going down gradually but last night was the straw that broke the camel's back. My wife and I decided to meet at Taco John's after work. We walked in and approached the counter (that another customer was just picking up their food from). The employee that was supposedly working the front looked us in the eyes only to turn her back and walk away. We thought, "Ok, rude, but she'll be right back". She walked to the edge of the food prep area and starts a conversation with other employees. Not anything work-related, just chit chat. Then another employee that had been in the lobby walked behind the counter, looked directly at us, and walked away without a word. Finally a manager/shift leader walked by, glanced at us standing there and walked on by, continuing her conversation with another employee. After standing at the counter of a near-empty restaurant (that had only one car through the drive thru during our time inside) for about 5 minutes and being completely ignored by every employee, 3 of whom made direct eye contact with us and could see we hadn't been waited on, we decided to leave. 2-3 employees saw us walking away and never said a word. As we drove off we saw that the back door was open and another 2-3 employees were standing outside talking. This was, by far, the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a fast food restaurant. We won't be back. We've always preferred Taco John's food over Taco Bell's but I'd much rather go where customers are appreciated...or at least acknowledged.
(This would be a 0 star rating, but Google forces you to give at...
Read moreNothing but good things to say. I'll eat here everytime I'm in the area. Great food. Great value. Great staff. Everyone's always been very welcoming, down to Earth & helpful. HUGE PLUS FOR THOSE WHO ORDER FOOD THROUGH DELIVERY APPS! This is a great place to order delivery. They won't overcomplicate the process of picking up your food, making for an easier delivery. Some places will really give delivery drivers a crazy amount of trouble. They seem to make up reasons to overcomplicate what should be a very simple thing. In contrast, Taco John's will respect your delivery app workers as an extension of you. I always inform my customers if a business gives me unreasonable trouble when working for delivery apps but Taco John's is getting an extra good review from me this evening for standing out from the crowd ethically. They simply treat the delivery worker the same as the customer. Stellar menu advertising skills, upbeat attitude. Food quality is also impressive. Shells are nice & fluffy/thick. Sit down mexican restuarants are about the only place where I usually get those thick, quality shells offered at Taco John's. They're also filled with ample amounts of meats/veggies. Combo meals come with nutritious potatoes unlike Taco Bell. My child's meal came with a whole wheat snack! Extremely competitive with Taco Bell! Better, more nutritious menu configuration for sure. It's not Chipotle fresh but they're still a bit more thoughtful about nutrition intake offering potato or whole wheat with meal configurations. This business puts off great vibes all the way around! Big thumbs up to management/staff for doing a...
