Updating this review because my comments on their Facebook were deleted and never acknowledged. The fact that someone took the time to read it,then delete it and not even reply to the comment or send me a private message is kinda shady. The way you guys handle an issue that is caused by your employees is bad for business and it definitely doesn’t make ya’ll look good
The Sonic at 2403 W Andrew Johnson Highway’s service all around has gone completely down hill. Their slushie machine has been “down”for weeks,the food isn’t what it used to be and I’m not sure who is in charge of hiring employees there but they might want to investigate the two dark hairedgirls that work the drive through window (because the stalls haven’t been open in quite some time so the same two are always on drive thru.) because Everytime me,or one of my friends or one of my coworkers go there and they are working,there is always an issue. They either can’t take debit cards because their systems are always down is what they say and then say they have to take exact change because they don’t have enough to give you change back,meaning if all you have is cash and you don’t have time to go somewhere else ,whatever change you would have gotten back you won’t be getting back and I think that they do that on purpose because it happens quite often and they know that there are people who will just tell them to “keep the change”.
And when their debit card machine is working,they either take forever giving it back to you or they will straight out say that they already gave it back to you even if they never did. This happens ALL THE TIME and one of my friends had used her CC at Sonic about a month back and later that night she had fraudulent charges on it. And anytime I have paid half cash and half card,they always try to charge my debit the full amount even after me telling them that I only have a certain amount on my card. It literally happens every single time. I don’t know if it was just a coincidence or what but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if these girls are writing peoples credit card info down. Not to mention they are SO EXTREMELY RUDE to everyone. Between the money issue and their poor customer service and food,I don’t even want to go anymore. Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite places, but not any more! The latest fiasco was Monday, April 26, 2021. Around 11:00 am, I stopped to order a burger. When I pressed the red button, I was told that they could only accept cash. I explained I had cash so no problem. I was then told that, because they were only accepting cash, I had to go through the drive through. That made NO sense and was not possible as the drive through was backed up something terrible. An hour later, I returned—did I mention that I liked their burgers. This time there were almost no stalls available AND the drive through was backed up. Luckily I found a stall, parked, and pushed the red button. For well over 5 minutes, I watched as ONE carhop delivered ONE order to ONE car. I could overhear the customers in the cars next to me complaining that they, too, had been unable to order. Apparently no orders were going out via the drive through, as that line only grew and grew and grew.
This store used to have great food and even greater service. The carhops were friendly, helpful, and fast. Who knows now as, even if you want to wait and wait and wait, it’s doubtful you will get your food.
This was not the first time I’ve encountered problems. It seems that the manager fired all the decent help, and now has either inept or non-existent help. Excuses for not taking orders have included things like: soda machine is broken so no orders; cash registers are broken so no orders; ordering system broken so no orders. Read moreIf I could give a 0 star review I would. I don’t ever leave bad reviews, but this is kinda ridiculous. When did chicken tenders become nuggets? I’m paying 8 something for this meal and literally got pieces of chicken smaller than chicken nuggets. Also, no one cared to mention that they were out of onion rings and just let me leave with nothing substituted. I go back and they say that they gave me extra chicken tenders instead. The extra chicken tenders were literally like the crispy piece on the chicken tender ripped off. I also asked for barbecue for my chicken and got nothing but charged a dollar for it. Literally charged a dollar for a pack of barbecue with chicken tenders? Why?? I didn’t even get the sauce with my food, I had to go back for that too. And why ask if I’d like sauce if your gonna charge me. Also sat in the the drivethru for several minutes with no response after at the drive up they told me to go to the drivethru and there was no one in front or behind me....
