I placed an order at 6:00 tonight. I was quoted a delivery time of one hour. By 7:30, my pizza had not arrived. I called the store. They assured me that it was on the way and my delivery driver was Tyler. At 8:02, I called again to ask for my money back. The employee that answered said “k” and placed me an a long hold. What I assume is the manager on duty came to the phone and asked how he could help. I told him that I just wanted my money back. He proceeded to argue with me over the quoted delivery time (he said that he was SURE that I was NOT quoted an hour and that they had been quoting 1.5 hour wait times. Again, this was after 8 PM, so still long after the SUPPOSEDLY quoted time) and said he could not give me a refund. After several failed attempts to reason with him, my partner took over the conversation. The manager continued to talk over and argue with my partner until he hung up on us. My partner had to go up to the store where the manager proceeded to argue and refuse a refund. Meanwhile, a girl in the kitchen was chiming in with her unwelcome and disrespectful comments. After the exchange became more heated in front of customers and staff, the manager finally honored the refund.
It really should have not been this hard. The manager should not have argued with us.
This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. My partner and I have over 30 years of restaurant experience combined and have a deep respect for the industry. Everything about this situation was wrong and handled very poorly. The initial (and peaceful) desired outcome (a refund) was achieved, but not without great disrespect from the staff to (what used to be) loyal customers.
PS We really loved Randy’s Pizza before this experience, but we will surely not be coming back. We made sure the delivery driver got his tip money and returned the food that he literally dropped on our doorstep and ran from as my partner was heading to the store to resolve the conflict.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Don’t patronize this business if you expect respect and any level of quality...
Read moreUnfortunately, tonight was my last time doing business with this location. The food here is great, but the wait time and inefficiency is ridiculous! I had waited far too long for my call-in orders in the past, as well as other people, but tonight was the coup de gras. I ordered 2 1-slice (mushroom, sausage) combos to go at 5:25 pm at the counter. I sat down to wait for my order. Mind you, other people were already there with clear frustration from waiting on their faces. 20 min into my wait, I noticed the cashier looked at me (and had to know I had been waiting), but didn't even bother to ask the cooks about my order. Finally, 35 minutes later at 6:00 pm, I walk up to the counter. She asks what my order was. She realizes the order ticket is completely lost. She now decides to mention I've been waiting over 30 minutes. When she tries to reorder my food, one cook says, "We're out of slices, except pepperoni. Do you want pepperoni, otherwise you'll have to WAIT..." (Nothing about a discount mentioned either) Notice previously I did not order anything resembling a pepperoni. I just politely asked for a full refund. Anyone who has eaten here knows about their inefficiency. Today was the last straw, and I will not do business here ever again. I was able to order Jet's Pizza and have it hot and ready when I walked in the door. There are plenty of good independent pizza alternatives in Cary, who are much more efficient and have better customer service. I suggest you take your business elsewhere until they...
Read moreDon't even know what location to review here--there were plenty of mistakes made. First off, I've NEVER eaten food from a Randy's location, even though there are four of them within a 6 mile radius of my home. Placing an order over the phone should be a simple process, right? I called in an order at the Davis Dr location, but at the end of the conversation, the employee tell me she's actually at the TW Alexander location. Ok, no sweat, I'll just go one exit further and go to TW Alexander to get my pie. I was pretty sure I had called Davis Dr, but maybe I looked at the wrong map... When I get to TW Alexander they have no record of my order--obviously I DID place it at the correct location all along, but the employee must have been confused about her location. So I loop around and call the again, this time asking the person who picked up the call to tell me his store location/address so I don't go in circles. Guess what? He didn't know the actual location or address of his own store.....so yes, it's 100% plausible that I was told to go get my pie at the wrong location all along! Wonderful! Spent 45 minutes in early Friday evening RTP traffic trying to get a pizza that never materialized. I never went to the Davis Dr location to get my pie, and honestly, I will NEVER recommend or eat at a Randy's establishment. Poor first...
