If youâre craving soul food near the Atlanta airport, let me introduce you to a hidden gem â emphasis on hidden â called SoulDam Good.
The Journey: First, let me say: finding this place was like being on a real-life quest. The restaurant has multiple locations, but when I looked them up on Google, I couldnât find a clear address. Traffic near the airport was thick, so we wisely ordered through DoorDash. We picked the Morrow location, but when I tried to map it out, I was rerouted to the Old National Hwy spot by mistake. And when I called the DoorDash number, a guy named 'Buster' â who was not having it â picked up and made it clear I was barking up the wrong tree: âThis ainât SoulDam Good Restaurant.â
The Food: Letâs be real â after spending over $100 and going through all that, the food had to be worth it. And oh, it was. The baked chicken wings were absolutely next-level: tender, juicy, and literally fell off the bone like a magic trick. The lamb chops? Pure bliss â smoky, rich, and honestly, they deserve a permanent spot at every Atlanta BBQ. But the macaroni and cheese was the knockout punch: creamy, indulgent, and so good it didnât even survive the parking lot. Keto? What keto? Totally worth the cheat.
The Verdict: SoulDam Good might be a little mysterious â like they want you to hunt for the âgolden chickenâ â but once you find them, youâre in for a metaphysical, soul-satisfying experience. Itâs not just food; itâs a quest with a delicious payoff. My advice? Try it, embrace the adventure, and donât skip the...
Read moreFood was good , I ordered baked chicken wings with yams and red beans and rice. I I got a lemonade and banana pudding. The lemonade was very sweet the banana pudding portion size was ok . Needs to be less than 7 dollars for the amount placed in the container. Not worth it ! The wings were seasoned well and taste good but the wings are sooo tiny . I feel like it should be 6 wings instead of 4 if it's so small. The yams and rice were good but also served in a small portion it was the amount literally to the tea of the container holder . The two small servings that the food is put in at the top and the chicken was placed at the bottom in the bigger side. I feel yall were an hr from closing and I got the scraps. I ordered a side of flounder to make up for the meal I ordered. Which was good ! But I feel like I shouldn't have had to do that , big I did. I may give you guys another chance. My friend is a food influencer and I went off the strength on her review. After her reviewing your Resturant and food .Her plates were overloaded. I'm sure it was done for content , but I am a paying customer and I thought it would have been a better outcome. So hopefully if I do try this spot it will be a...
Read moreYou try to support black businesses but when you do the people they have to take your orders be so unprofessional and confrontational. I had 1 order I placed (the turkey ribs) I waited a whole hour checked back several times on my order only to find out they gave my order to someone else. When I tried to explain to the immature girl at the register, that I asked her was that my order she was giving away to someone else the 3rd time I checked she became very confrontational and if I wanted to go back and forth with her it would have escalated and thatâs very sad, poor customer service and bad representation of this establishment. Just about everyone there had to wait at least an hour or more for their orders. Mind you this was my 1st time there and I will never return to spend my money with them. I donât know who the owners are, but that Now hiring sign on your door you really need to take that serious and relieve the young lady in the front because she is bad business for your establishment. Iâm gonna recommend you to Keith Lee and then maybe thatâll be a wake up call. If you have the time to wait on an Oder even if itâs...
