Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Moscow

I would have given 1 star for service and food, but the manager did his best to make things right, after I insisted on speaking to him. I brought family from out of town for dinner. We were a large party of 7. Three people were served their dinner about 20 minutes after we ordered, the other four didn't even get their starter and salads until 30 minutes after the first 3 meals were served, and that included the one child in the party. When we were served our starters, the two salads were awful with pieces of the stem of the lettuce, you know the hard bottom that's supposed to be cut off, as part of the salad, and one salad no dressing at all, with two croutons a piece, and no parmesan for either. The wings were good flavored, but cold, as they had been sitting for 40 minutes, the meals had obviously been forgotten, and the quality reflected they were made on the fly, with no care to presentation or quality. 4 out of 7 meals were unacceptable and the manager gave a 45% discount. I won't go again, and in good conscience could never recommend this place. The worst part about it was the waiter. He knew there was a problem, and we kept trying to get his attention, and he saw us then times trying to get him to come tell us what was going on. He completely ignored us, intentionally! Wouldn't even refill our drinks over the hour and a half we were there, we had to ask a different wait person. The Applebee's has good food. Way better than I remember years ago when it first opened. The portions are good as well, and it's about average prices. Note it does taste a little generic but that's to be expected of a chain restaurant. Yummy though! The drinks are great too but again a bit generic if you're used to the wonderful variety and home made tastes of Moscow Idaho.

I found the tablets to be fun and entertaining for the adults and my little one and it's one of her favorite places to eat. My husband enjoyed the trivia as well. Just one of those little things that makes it more fun.

Service is very friendly and respectful even to the little kids. Though I do think it was a bit frustrating last time I went simply because they were short staffed. They were apologetic and fixed anything that got messed up.

Wheelchair accessibility is great, the sinks are able to be used. Though I had trouble opening the bathroom door. The carpets are a bit tuff to roll on but it's better space wise then the more local restaurants you might enjoy.

There's a male server in that establishment that finds it entertaining to tamper / contaminate customers food. This particular individual stuffed a 3 maybe 4 inch french fry in the bottom of my sour cream in the small dipping cup how did he not see that? And from my experience as an ex-waiter if i saw that or felt anything off in my customers food that I prepared i wouldn't use it but No this individual stuffed and crammed then topped it off and gave it to me I waited for him to come back from the hangout and party he never did so i had to ask his co-worker to get him and when i brought it to his attention he acted as though it was a joke in fact when he returned with next to nothing for dipping sauce he said "heres a new uncontaminated one i made sure for you" with a grin.. jokes on him that was the moment i told him zero for a tip wanna be ignorant, YOU WON!
