Gambino’s good and bad. The food is very good. The service is good. The bad… I ordered lasagna. They were out of it. OK, that happens. I then ordered spaghetti. The menu clearly states pasta is served with a slice of garlic bread. We had four orders of pasta. No one received the garlic bread. We asked our server about it and was told that they were running low on bread and they had to save it for people who wanted sandwiches. I asked if there were any substitutions for the bread. Answer was no. Discounts to compensate that the meal was not served as indicated on the menu? No. The server asked the manager to talk with us. When the manager arrived, she had nothing but excuses for us. The restaurant is understaffed and very busy. Staffing and a busy restaurant aren’t the cause for misrepresenting your menu. It doesn’t cause you to take the bread from my order so that you can make someone else’s sandwich with it. That’s just wrong. And instead of the manager saying “we’re sorry for mistakes “she just said “it’s too bad you’re not having a better experience. “When I wasn’t happy with that answer she lied to me. She told me that the bread was simply complementary and they didn’t have to give it to us. That’s not true. I can read the menu. I hate being lied to, straight up to my face like that. Then she just turned around and left. No apology, no attempt to make our dining experience better. This manager has no people skills; too bad. The food is very good at Gambino‘s. My suggestion to a diner is to get very clear about what you will be served and what you won’t; because the menu is genuine misinformation. And management won’t stand behind their claims. Just an aside, we had dirty salad plates at our table throughout the meal. When the manager came over she didn’t bother...
Read moreI went to Gambino's with a friend for dinner December 1, 2018 and was looking forward to it since it had been some time since we had gone there for dinner and usually the food and service is pretty good. I ordered the combo pasta plate so I could choose three different entrees and I asked the waitress about the gnocchi which I have never had before. She said it was pretty good with the alfredo sauce so I ordered that along with another pasta with alfredo sauce and one with marinara. When my order came the gnocchi had marinara sauce on it so I pointed it out to the waitress. She said that I had ordered it with the marinara sauce! I reminded her that she told me the gnocchi was good with the alfredo sauce so that was how I ordered it! She then said that she had written it down with the marinara sauce so it must be correct and then she turned and walked off! I'm surprised she didn't come right out and call me a liar, lol! Too bad I didn't get the name of this young lady as I am finding a lot of people in the younger generations are extremely inconsiderate and this was a perfect example of the poor service a lot of them provide to customers. These businesses need to hire people who are respectful and who are willing to correct the errors they have made. I will not eat at Gambino's again in the future and will not recommend it to anyone! It's too bad as I try to frequent the local businesses here in Moscow but if owners and managers of our restaurants can't hire employees who are polite to the customers, then I have absolutely no problem with driving to Lewiston which offers much better restaurants anyway! Also, the pasta was drowning in sauce on my order and also my friend's order so the food really wasn't that good. If I could give zero...

As a food service worker for many years, I understand the Friday night rush. Food and service is slower, things get stressful. That's to be expected.
However- I have never. In my entire life. Waited for my meal NEARLY this long. And never have I worked a food rush where the wait time was even half as long.
We arrived and were immediately sat at 5:35. We ordered our food at 5:45. And then we waited. And waited. Slowly realized over the course of 45 minutes that everyone else in the room was waiting for their food. In spite of this, they were continuing to seat people. Finally, an HOUR later, I inquired about my food. She didn't have a time estimate (not her fault), but confirmed they were still working on it.
finally, at 7:00 pm we received our food. And I hate to say, it was hot but very underseasoned, rubbery, and tasteless.
I really don't like being the upset customer as I've dealt with many at my own workplace, but it's insane to not only wait for my food for an HOUR and TWENTY MINUTES, but also watch them continue to seat people when the kitchen was obviously overwhelmed.
The kicker is that I saw a manager wandering around yapping with customers while his employees were clearly in the weeds.
If you're considering eating here- Don't :) Unless you wanna be there for three hours and have no taste buds.
And if you're a manager here- It's insane that you're still in business. I've worked at many food establishments, and have never exceeded even a 40 minute food wait. It's an egregious money grab to continue seating folks with that kind of wait. Get in the kitchen and help out your...
