My girlfriend and I have eaten here three times. The first two visits were wonderful, however this latest visit was anything but. My girlfriend can not eat meat, this was not a problem until this latest visit.
The first two visits were during lunch time, and the staff was friendly and helpful, a curly red haired girl in particular was very accommodating and professional, and told us that they'd be able to make a fresh veggie pizza and cut it with a clean knife. This was amazing, as my girlfriends meat allergy has kept her from being able to eat at a wide variety of restaurants. We thought we'd finally found a place we could come back to again and again.
However, we will not be returning during the pm for dinner ever again, because our latest expertise was a flat out atrocity. We came in today around 5:45 to order dinner, yet a very rude dark brown haired girl refused to make a fresh veggie pizza, when we pressed her as to why she told us to speak with her manager. This guy, who was also very curt and rude, informed us that they were no longer accommodating anyone with any allergies of any kind, which is a clear violation of the americans with disabilities act.
While this alone would be outrageous enough, it isn't actually the worst of our encounter. After the unprofessional pm manager made it clear beyond a doubt that he was discriminating against everyone with any dietary restrictions whatsoever, we tried an order of breadsticks. The rude cashier from earlier took our order, accepted our cash, and deposited it into the register, and then proceeded to make our food WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS! The jackwagon manager didn't seem to see any issue with this, and asked us in an annoyed tone whether or not we'd like a refund. My girl did not deserve to be fed whatever was on our cash, or the register, or that disgusting girls hands just because she can't eat meat. My girl didn't deserve to be made to feel like an inconvenience or any less of a person or paying customer because she can't eat meat.
I am outraged and appalled at these peoples comfort in providing terrible and condescending "service," and I am disgusted by their blatant violation of basic health code standards as well as the flippant attitude regarding such. Whoever owns this restaurant, I beg you to take a very close look at your closing staff, the visits we made during lunchtime were wonderful, but our dinner visit was wretched. For the health and safety of your dinners, I would highly recommend hiring a manager that vigorously enforces basic health...
Read moreBest pizza in Moscow, and easily one of the best pizza i had in the USA. I usually stay away from pizzerias and anything vaguely resembling Italian food for fear of disappointment. Those guys are the real deal.
... I need to add a couple comments, after a series of new visits... My impression is that the quality of the pizza has been steadily decreasing. Still ok, but certainly not the "wow" i had the first few times. I hope they will pick it up again. Your pizza is too good to take shortcuts! Use that wood fired oven, forget the gas one.
Well... After some time i finally went back. This time i ordered a whole pie, hoping that it would come out crisp and delicious from the wood fire oven, but unfortunately it came, again, out of the electric/gas one. I just don't understand... The oven is on, you can see the fire burning, why don't you guys use it? Also service seems to be getting worse. I was there with 3 kids and asked for a knife to make smaller pieces for my 1-year old. Apparently no knives, nor willingness to help...
Read morePretty decent pizza. I usually get lunch special: two slices and a drink for $7. It's a little on the pricy side. $5.50-$6 feels more appropriate, honestly. The pizza is fine, but I do not think it is measurably better than Slice, unfortunately. It is more creative though. I like that they have have a different pizza daily. The crust has consistently come just a smidge burned after it's reheated (this has been repeated over my 5 visits) which usually ends with me not finishing the crust. I wish they could figure that out. The environment and service are fantastic. It's a really nice place to hang out and the staff are wonderful. As I said, the pizza is mostly solid and I love just grabbing a drink from the fridge rather than messing with a fountain. It's really close to nailing the pizza-by-the-slice experience. I hope they keep iterating until they get there. A better lunch special price and and not singeing the crust will almost do it.
Update: Crust...
