This location was the only thing open when I came through the area. Having been on the road for a while, I figured to go inside to eat.
As soon as I opened the door, the smell of old mop water and hint of sewage hit me. That should have been my clue to leave but I didn't. I ordered my meal at the kiosk as nobody was visible in the back of the house. Kiosk wouldn't accept payment and printed a slip to take to counter. (Clue number 2 to leave).
Frazzled employee popped out, took my payment, and disappeared to the back so I went to get my drink and find a seat. Tried to dispense a drink only to get blasted with a forceful flow of fluid. As someone who has worked near a fountain drink I knew that the nozzles were not installed. Looking to my right and sure enough found them.
Tried to find a seat in the nearly empty restaurant and couldn't find a clean eating surface anywhere so I picked the least dirty one and sat down. When my order was finally called, I ripped the bag open to use as a placemat and tried to enjoy the meal but as the food was cold enough the butter didn't melt, I just ate the chunks of food to fill the void in my stomach.
Finished the meal a few minutes later, cleaned up spot (which was a huge improvement), and went to leave. While dispensing another blast of drink, an employee came from behind the counter with streams of tears coming down their face while proclaiming to someone they couldn't do this alone anymore. I assumed they were referring to opening the restaurant not a personal issue, raised a prayer for them, and left.

I always have a problem when I come here but today was the worst. I ordered food for my kid on our way to softball practice. I ordered before I left the house and after waiting over 20 minutes at the counter, I asked them to check on my order because I still hadn't received it. After the THIRD person came over to address my issue because the first two had no clue, I was upset. They couldn't "find" the order. They told me I had to give them the code. The code that had already expired because my food should have already been handed out. I showed them the receipt in app but they said they "couldn't do anything" without the code. So I asked about a refund and the manager Mikayla told me they couldn't issue a refund because I ordered on the app. When I asked about how to do so, she had no idea. If the manager has no idea how to refer a customer for a refund then they need better training. I've worked in management for years and this was not proper customer service. She was kind of snarky so I did get pissy when I stormed out. But its because they refused to help me and I was unable to get my child food because of the 30 minute wait, just to be told I was out of luck. We went back through the drive through and they said for us to pull over in the curbside pick up and someone would bring the cheeseburger out to us. Only 30 minutes later we were still waiting. So I drove around to go through the drive through and again we were told to wait. 10 minutes later I tried to call. We didn't have face masks and didn't want to go inside, but the phone number online is a fax 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ We finally gave up and went inside maskless 😳 talked to the young man at the counter and he fixed the problem in less than 2 minutes. Yes I'm very happy that it was resolved and I was amazed at how much work was going on back there behind the counter. They were seriously understaffed and trying very hard to take care of everything. The only reason I am leaving a one star review is because whoever owns this franchise needs to be aware and staff more appropriately. You have a good group willing to work hard but understaffing makes everyone miserable and sets your people up for mistakes and frustration. Please fix it. Please take better care...
