Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Moundsville

The drive-thru exit is dangerous as it is narrow with curbs on both sides- you are forced into Lafayette avenue and only able to go Northbound. If you go inside the establishment you will be welcomed with pungent smell of sulfur and rotten milk- even if you see an employee has just mopped. No one wants to work there understandably so the staff is mostly high school children who lack customer service skills (understandably) and you will get your order whenever they are ready to give it to you 🤣 don't blame them at all- I get it- just expect to be waiting 10-20 minutes. They will not even begin pick-up orders until you've made your presence known. It will take a few minutes to be acknowledged on counter. Everytime I get a drink carrier it is flimsy, wet, and ripped. One day a female manager was talking to a younger male employee criticizing the length of his hair and trying to demand he get a haircut. Asking when he thinks he will get his paycheck, have time, etc to go to Great Clips. She had longer hair than he did and in 2022 it's not appropriate to discriminate based on...

Stopped in at the Moundsville DQ on 6/15/19 at around 4:30pm with 4 in our group. Ordered some supper and Bizards. Guy at the counter politely handled the ordering and gave us a number. After sitting down I heard a guy yelling out blizzard names that sounded like it could be ours. They were on the Ice Cream treat side of the counter with nobody around to advise me on what was what. That’s OK we figured it out. Sat back down for awhile hoping that all the time waiting for our food would yield some fresh hot meals. Nope, a male employee brings out one of our meals and says enjoy. I asked about the 3 other meals to which he ran off to check the kitchen coming back with the remaining meals. ALL 4 meals were cold, room temp. Bacon was slimy and the fries were cold and soggy. I am not a complainer and was hungry so I eat. My flippin burger was pink. What the heck, it’s ¼ inch piece of meat. Leave it on the grill maybe 10 more seconds. So it was cold and raw. I am done at this point. Probably won’t go back. Oh yea the Blizzards were not mixed well...

I don't know if Joe is like a mind reader, a wizard or just very charismatic but when I went I was going to get my usual cookie dough blizzard and while I was looking at the board wondering if they could maybe put cookie dough in the brownie one Joe and I start talking.

I like to live life really boring, not very spontaneous and even then it's usually boring but Joe hyped me up about trying something new...like the brownie blizzard instead and while I was still on the fence Joe smiles and goes "I can cookie dough to it" and I was stunned, because how would Joe randomly know what I was thinking about earlier?

So I'm like, you can do that? And he's like, yeah we can do that. So I ask if he can do vanilla instead of chocolate ice cream and he did that too and man I have to say it was absolutely rocking, this combination cookie dough - brownie blizzard is so much better than either one seperately.

TL:DR Joe is a probably a wizard but he's definitely a cool guy and the ice cream is almost as cool as him, listen to the ice...
