So, I know people love this place. They're apparently fast and accurate at the drive through? I don't know. I didn't do that. I went in with my husband and three kids. One of my kids is in a wheelchair, so she and I went straight to a table. My husband and other two kids went over to choose their ice cream. One couple came in behind us and they were served first. We thought it was odd, but kids can be slow so I didn't think much of it. But when someone else came in and got served, while my family waited hopefully, I began to get upset. Then when the person serving all these others went to the (not busy) drive through to "help" the guy back there? Seriously. I honestly haven't experienced much discrimination due to my daughter's disability. That's not an accusation I take lightly. But, we were ignored. Not even a casual, "hey, I'm sorry. I'll be with you in a minute." Nothing. No eye contact. Nothing. It was really insulting. I will not return.
You'd think that'd be enough, but the saga has another short piece. When I got to my parents house and told them what had happened, my father called to find out what had happened. They were unbelievably rude to him, accusing him (and therefore me) of lying and even yelling at him. I was astounded! How hard is an apology?
I'm not going to pursue a discrimination claim, but I thought people should know. I'd be interested in knowing if this is a pattern. I'm livid. Honestly, you can check my other reviews. I'm far more likely to review a place for bring exceptionally good. This was over the top. I don't care how fast the drive through is if you can't treat people...
Read moreI wish I could give this place zero stars. This is the WORST Dunkin I've ever been to. I've lived in Mt. Airy for 12 years now and have had the Dunkin Donut's app since its release, so you could say that I've been to this place several times. Every time I go here there is an issue. To begin with, if you are using the app they will never apply your discounts so make sure you check that before you leave. Previously, I've been overcharged several times and have received the wrong order. When you tell the manager/owner about the problem it instantly goes from you wanting to address an issue to an argument with her. My girlfriends has had a hot coffee dropped on her twice while in the drive through and the second time was because they didn't put the lid on a hot coffee.. I'm writing this review now because of what happened to us yesterday. The coffee I received tasted disgusting and after opening it I found that the creamer was full of curds and had chunks floating on top and had tons in the bottom on the cup after pouring it out. They gave use the wrong donuts and double charged us and added the car behind us order to ours. After asking for a refund the manger/owner fought with us like usual and followed it up by calling us Crazy and accused us of just trying to get double points with our app. What the hell? I'm forever done with this place and will never go back. If I ever want Dunkin again I will go to the one in Fredrick, they seem to know what they are doing and understand customer service. Read moreExtremely rude manager and very poor customer service. I placed 2 separate mobile orders this morning to pick up through the drive thru. They told me they didn't show the 2nd order on their end, so I showed them on my phone, which shows the items ordered, time and date. After speaking to 3 employees (one was the manager) and showing them that I ordered and already paid through the app, they asked me to come inside because they had a big line. I told them I would rather not come inside and showed them my order again. Still, they refused to give me the items I paid for. It obviously became my problem that they had a lot of people waiting in the drive thru. I ended up going inside and showed the manager again my order on my phone. She still said we don't have it on our end. Finally after explaining and showing her that I wanted what I paid for. She gave the items to me. Why on earth did they have to argue to this extent with me and not just take care of it when I first showed them in the drive thru line. I advised them I will never visit this establishment again. That is not how you take care of a paying customer with proof of purchase. This could have been an easy fix and ended up into an unnecessary back and forth...
