This place was excellent everything about it was great. They were even short staffed and we had pretty good service. The food was immaculate, all hot and fresh. We got the fish and chips but instead of chips I got there baked mac and cheese was a substitute. And that fish was amazing, perfectly fried beautifully crispy outside and the inside, it was gorgeously flaky pieces of meat that just fell apart. The photo I took should explain some of it how flaky it was. We also got the muffaletta sandwich their version, I say their version because I've had the real thing and it's not at all the same. Theirs is good though it's made with a pizza dough so it looks like a piece of pizza with dough on both sides sort of like stuffed pizza from Tanya's. Could have used some more meat inside but the meat that was in there was very flavorful. Oh man a muffaletta from Central Grocery and Deli, eatin next to the mighty Mississippi what an experience! If they made that sandwich here... Oh and the baked mac n cheese was outstanding! Wow I didn't expect it to be so good even came out in a ceramic pot with it all crispy around the edge. Was so hot and fresh it was still warm when I was boxing up my food! Very cheesy and the noodles were pretty close to perfectly cooked. So the kicker here is we're sitting here eating having a good time, a train goes by, like 10 minutes later they're walking around handing out Jello shots! I mean like who does that?! It made our experience there that much greater than it already was! Apparently every time a train goes by they do that and it's been a tradition forever. Oh yeah the appetizer was great the deep fried mac and cheese bites were on point. This is a great place and will definitely be back and probably continue to go back. The atmosphere was great had the whole Firehouse vibe going on, they had fixtures from the original building still on the walls in some places. Definitely check this place out if you haven't already.

Been driving by a bunch but the timing hadn't worked out for a lunch stop until today. The place is quite big, divided into 3 basic areas. One can be opened to the outside with the five garage doors raised. I believe, but dud not confirm, it used to be a fire station in years past. The place is fireman themed, to the surprise of very few. Exposed brick looks great. Service is top-notch, quick, efficient, pleasant (if not actually friendly). Menu is big and the prices are great. I went with a Muffuletta from the Monday specials menu - and hard to find outside New Orleans area - and a side of fries. The sandwich is huge, uses pizza dough as bread - interesting take. A bit salty but it is full of processed meats, cheese & olive spread. The fries were terrific, good crunch on the outside tender middle and barely salted, if at all. Sandwich was $10, the fries just $2 more. Damned good deal, Lucille. Close by, good food, good prices. I WILL return. The paper towel dispenser in the men's room is way too high.

Engine house is an excellent local go-to for great food and drinks! I usually like to dine in and enjoy their laid-back, old style firehouse ambiance, but I was feeling under the weather and had a craving for chicken pastina soup. I thought this would be hard to find on a Sunday evening, but thanks to EH, that problem was solved!! They were busy (of course after the awesome lions WIN💙) but they still had my order packaged nicely and ready promptly when I arrived. I was impressed that the soup was Saran wrapped so well so it wouldn’t leak! The classic pizza is one of my favorites- you can’t go wrong with any of their pizzas! There was a small hiccup with the online pricing and the woman who cashed me out adjusted the price without question and thanked me for letting her know. I honestly didn’t mind but I felt that was awesome customer service! They rotate their specials daily, so be sure to check out their FB page!

I was treated to dinner by my son and grandkids we I picked a place that was menu kid friendly it was our first time dining there and was recommended. We arrived at 6:50 p.m, it was packed, busy and a line formed, I took this to be a great sign that the food was good and the service would be great so we waited in line. We were greeted wonderfully by a female greeter with a nice smile and personality so for her, I give a thumbs up. We got seated about 7:12 p.m, a stickler for time, I made an important phone call at 7:14 p.m the waitress arrived at our table to take orders at 7:20 afterwards she brought dinner rolls and drinks to the table. A 20 minute, she came back and apologized for our food not arriving to the table, but brought a second serving of rolls, than my son his salad. I noticed people walking in, standing in line for a seat and being escorted to their tables, 4 guys set at a table in the section we were in, got served their appetizers after waiting 20 minutes, 15 minutes later they were eating dinner, but we were not...still not served 😠! I ask my son to pay the check and to take us somewhere else, but he wanted to wait. I received apologies about our food not being served and being late 3 times by the waitress, I mildly snapped, my grandkids and I were famished, they were impatient and tired, their bedtime is at 9:00p.m and we "FINALLY" got served at 8:20 p.m after everyone in our area had eaten and gone and in the main dinning area had thinned out, and Yes, we were apologized to by the kitchen even offered desert I'm not to much into sweets, but I will never go back or recommend it. The kids took 2 bites and wanted to go home, to bed, I took a couple of bites, but we ended up carrying our food home. I have been to some 3,4 and 5 star restaurants and supper clubs, but I have never had to wait this long in my life for my food to arrive at the table, not even at a Boston Market where they fix the plates and bring the food out to the tables for their Patriots. Sorry Josh from Fox 2 News, I took your advice for this restaurant and got...

2nite was my first time in here, Saturday October 7, 2023. Came from work of mouth from a friend. I sat myself at a little 2 people table in the front by the door. Did not know there was a check in area, signs are confusing. But anyway, I wanted to see the food, got prime rib, asked for medium rare, it was more on the medium side, it was good thought. It was very busy when I came in and my server was very attentive to me and all of the tables around me, wish I would have remembered her name, she told me and I want to give her praise by name. She was getting drinks and very honest with me about the waiting time. I got this bread, it was so good! When my food came out she asked me how I liked it because I told her it was my first time and I let her know it was over cooked she offered to remake it, get me something different or even dessert. I told her I didn’t want anything because it was still good regardless. Needless to say, overall I was impressed with the food, very glad to have great service and definitely will be bringing people here to try the food. I definitely want to try more food on the specials and thank you to my server who was so respectful to me and other tables around! It was a fantastic experience and I cant wait to come back but I won’t be...
