Booked a work Christmas party several weeks in advance. I got a call from Tricia a couple days prior asking if we could be moved from the dining side to the bowling alley side since she was having another party that same night (a larger party (remax) that required more room than they had- there wasn’t enough room for them over there either as there was only standing room for majority of the party) that had just booked. I agreed and said “as long as there is room for us, we won’t mind at all” she was appreciative. Once we arrived, we were fine... until we had to move due to the leagues starting.. the owner (Tricias mom) proceeded to try cramming us in a corner. There was room for about 8 of our 20 people to sit. She never apologized once and when we said we were just going to leave she was overheard saying “I don’t care, let them leave” she also kept bumping into people in our party because of how crowded it was! incredibly poor customer service! In addition, it’s a very poor way to treat your employee who missed out on a night of tips due to your lack of planning and greed for the larger party. Our waitress remained professional the entire time and apologized that we had to move. I called Orleans and explained our situation.. the gentleman I spoke with was so nice and understanding! He said he would have two tables reserved by the time we got there.. We needed up leaving and had a much better time there. My advice, don’t book a large party if you plan on enjoying it or being able sit comfortably and not on top...
Read moreThe food is good and the birthday party room is nicely sized. As for bowling this is the worst bowling alley. The balls had to have been bought as a lot for defects. I wear a size 5 ring so I have small fingers. The thumb holes on anything other then super heavy 18lb balls are sized for sticks. My pinky barely fits. The weights seems uneven as well. The lanes are not waxed at all or very minimally. The scoring system is inaccurate. It doesn't give you the correct number of pins knocked down thus the incorrect score. Please be careful and watch your children at the ball return. Several kids and adults in our party got smashed fingers because it hurls the balls back and the whole line of them slam together. In my opinion there are much better places to go. The staff is extremely nice though and the food is good and glow bowling is fun. If they can just update the lanes and balls and clean up it would be a great place to go. I will keep an eye out and see if...
Read moreWe went to the Rec Bowl on a short trip for my birthday. I found a deal for it while looking on Groupon; the Groupon covered 2 games of bowling, 2 plain hamburgers with chips, and 2 drinks. We had a lot of fun and would recommend to check it out! There were a couple little things that kept it from a five star rating. We had a hard time finding the entrance, and once we were inside there was nothing showing where to go. We wandered around for a bit because we couldn't tell who worked there. The lane we were using had to be reset twice during our second game, but we still had a lot of fun. My husband ordered a beer and when we asked about paying and took out our debit card, the staff member said she wasn't going to run a card for just $3 and that she'd "figure something out." I'm really not sure if she was being nice (if she was, we appreciate it) or if she was actually upset that we wanted to pay with a card. All in all, we had fun and the...
