Had a small Italian hoagie today from Gaetano's on Pine St. Order extra tomatoes and extra onions. Was charged extra $ and it didnt look anything like extra. And where was the meat? Hoagie was all roll. Waste of time and money.
UPDATE: A yr later, 10/5/22, I ordered the same sandwich the same way and it was served the same way. But that's not really the issue this time. They are charging a credit card fee. But that's not the problem either. The problem is that there is no notification or sign saying so. And even after telling me the total, then asking if it is card or cash, the guy still never said anything of an extra charge when I told him I was using a card. I don't get receipts when I eat out, I just review my statement. But by the time I got home I get a notification from my credit card of a charge at Gaetano's for more than what they said it was. I would have paid cash if I knew of this charge. I don't got to places that charge extra for using a card. The NJ consumers affairs site says the consumers are suppose to know of this charge even before they order. It's suppose to be posted. Read moreI ordered a cheeseburger, and this is what I received. The person who took my order asked me questions about the size I wanted, which I did not understood. I told them a regular cheeseburger like you would get at McDonald’s. Mind you, when you order a cheeseburger there’s usually no confusion in what you mean! I should have checked my bag when I picked up my food but didn’t until I got home. I had to argue with someone on the phone about how I supposedly asked for a small burger so that’s what I got. I told him I’ve ordered there multiple times before and have never had any confusion nor received anything like this before. There was also someone on the phone playing a middle person. Whoever was in charge should have had the decency to speak to me directly! Instead of them accommodating me and having someone deliver me a proper burger with the refund from the difference in pricing, I had to drive all the way back just to be questioned about what we just spoke on the phone about! While working a 12 hour shift at a hospital and after ordering $70 worth of food for the department, we sit down for our quick break to find out our order was incorrect. We ordered a 4 sets of buffalo tenders, 3 mild and 1 hot. None of them were labeled and all looked the same, the only way to find out what's what is to try them. ALL HOT. We called to get it corrected and the guy on the phone went back and forth trying not to claim the mistake. I asked for a fix and their response was a $5 credit. UNACCEPTABLE. The next was that they only have one level of heat, hot. Why was that not communicated? Nonetheless, in the end either I give them the remaining food (that has been eaten on or thrown away by now) or no partial refund/fix. I'm sorry it has now been an hour since delivery... Will not...
