Sub-Par AIRPORT-QUALITY COFFEE SHOP. If you're looking for that overpriced, crumby airport-deli-quality coffee and a breakfast sandwich, Ready Teddy's is ready for you.
I wanted a breakfast sandwich+coffee and glanced at a couple 4 star reviews mentioning the sandwiches. I went in, service is good and friendly. Got the egg, cheese and bacon on a bagel. It is the lowest quality bagel, the small, thin, floppy, slightly crumbly at the edges bagel that I don't think you can even find at Kroger. Maybe at a deli case at a gas station. Barely toasted. Unmelted square of cheap yellow American cheddar, goopy low quality cream cheese, super thin bacon (think McDonalds quality), tomato, and a circular premade egg patty. $6. SMALL drip coffee $3.50. Packets of salt and pepper available for your sandwich, no hot sauce, no other condiments. Got a second sandwich for my wife prior to trying mine (mistake), got hers on the everything bagel. The everything bagel is the plain bagel sprinkled with a few flecks of poppy seeds, no exaggeration.
This seems like a minimal effort, highest price possible kind of place. For Pete's sake, just buy CostCo bagels and resell them instead of whatever you are using. And since when is a small drip coffee $3.50? Also, there is a sign on the door indicating a "Best of Mount Juliet" business. If this is the best of Mount Juliet, my God... If you have any sense of breakfast sandwich decency, get it somewhere else. Does...
Read moreTwo stars because the foods is actually GREAT when it doesn’t have HAIR in it. Today makes the 4th hair that I’ve found in my food. I spoke to the manager last time and encouraged him to mandate hair nets for his food workers. They NEVER wear hair nets. TO THE MANAGER: i saved the hair this time and am more than happy to give it to you for whatever testing you need because when i confront your staff every single time they look at me like I’m walking around with bags of hair planting it in food! I have never once accepted a refund because 1. The food is actually awesome 2. This is a real health concern.
The hair is 100% from the young lady whose hair is dyed. The hair that i kept, you can see the hair dye when you lay it on a white napkin. She has long hair and she needs to wear a HAIR NET.
Also, beyond the hair that i continue to find in my food the overall esthetic of the restaurant is unclean, i pointed out what looked like animal hair (black and pointy) on the bar today to the male worker. On the table behind me were vape pens and more personal items. I have a picture of a vape pen and vape juice, and deodorant on the front extended bar from the last time i went in let the staff know there was hair in my food.
Please be...
Read moreI have no idea how this place has so many good reviews.. the staff did not greet me when I walked in despite there being no line, they did not ask me if I was ready to order, nothing - I just stood there. Then decided to use the restroom first if they weren’t going to take my order right away.. the bathroom was DISGUSTING. The entire shop was not clean; I initially wanted to sit and eat but ultimately decided otherwise. Staff had their belongings scattered all over the seating area as well. The menu also must be written incorrectly since my wrap had the wrong meat than I was anticipating. The staff also did not say anything to me as I left even while I said thank you while heading out, again despite it being silent inside with only one other customer. It was a waste of time coming in here, 2 stars only because I did think my matcha was tasty. Way too many other great shops to...
