Big John Steak & Onion — Restaurant in Mount Morris Charter Township

At one Point, I would of never gave this place a 4 star rating because I got sick once, it was horrible!!! I returned the next day with the remainder of the sub and very quickly when one of the staff examined my return, they knew exactly what happened in the process to cause the smelly nasty sub they sold me. She informed me, that the grill hadn't been cleaned regularly throughout the shift by the grill master which lead to some serious grill debris being served with my order!😫 You could just smell it when you unwrapped the sandwich, it was horrible! But, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and had two bites. By the second bite, my stomach just flipped and dropped as it went down and boy did the trouble begin. I went in the next day still suffering and told them what happened and they offered to make a new one, but I wouldn't have been able to eat it, so I just opted for a refund. I do believe the incident was reported to upper management and rectified. Because as of lately, I haven't had this experience again. I so know personally that the owners are attentive to their customer complaints, so kudos to the owners. Now this is what I’m talking about! I almost didn’t go today after the horrible experience I had at the Dort Hwy location last night (see my review there — and steer clear). But I’d been craving Big John’s, so I decided to give the Pierson Rd spot a shot… and I’m so glad I did.

From the moment I walked in, the energy was completely different. There were three employees working — I believe one was a manager — and every single one of them greeted me with a smile, acknowledged me, and made me feel welcome. My order was made fast, fresh, and 100% correct. The food was so good I literally caught myself saying “Mmm mmm!” out loud.

What really stood out was the genuine care from the staff. They didn’t just hand me my food — they asked how it was and if I needed anything else. That kind of service is rare these days and deserves recognition.

Big thanks to the Pierson Rd Big John’s team for restoring my faith in the brand. Corporate — I hope you see this, because the management and crew here are doing everything right. Whatever they’re doing on Pierson Rd is exactly how every Big John’s should be run.

Garbage customer service garbage food

Will not come back in here I walked in the only person in the store all 3 employees ignored me for almost 2 minutes they were comparing about someone not coming in to work. Even after they stopped talking. I was standing at the counter and ignored

I ordered my food and was ignored again till my food was packed The food itself is junk from what i know of big John's the sandwiches are packed over full of meat. For 19.80 ish i got 2 8 inch sandwiches that honestly i would get 2x more at Subway which is ridiculous to say
