This Red Lobster is not worth stopping at. We waited an hour for overcooked and overpriced food and drinks. Also, we had the pleasure of an upset customer at the table next to us letting the manager know how poor their experience was.
I left the restaurant still hungry after the main course. This was a party of two and here’s how our celebratory experience went here.
The biscuits came out cold.
I ordered the Maine Lobster, Shrimp Skewer, and Atlantic Salmon with a tall double Pepsi and rum (because they don’t serve Coke). The shrimp was fine. The salmon looked like an over cooked pork chop; burnt on the plate side, extremely dry inside, no moisture to speak of, hard to find the butter sauce, and no lemon wedges anywhere. The lobster was also over cooked and frankly very small, only 3 forkfuls of lobster which had to be torn out of the shell by hand. The lobster was seasoned well, however. With three proteins, the two sides on the plate still took up over 3 quarters of the plate (rice and broccoli). It’s a very blatant attempt to fill you up on sides and not the main entrée. $37.00 for that. Which would be an okay cost if the salmon was even a couple ounces larger and nothing was overcooked and you didn’t have to tear out the lobster meat by hand. My two shots of rum were $16… $27 retail is what a 1.75 liter of Bacardi costs.
She ordered the Fried Flounder with baked potato and macaroni and cheese with a Pepsi. She enjoyed her meal, it came out okay she said; I thought the fry was too oily/greasy personally but she liked it. They forgot the macaroni and cheese.
We waited over an hour for our food. Including 15 minutes after we were told it was “being plated right now”.
After waiting for 40 minutes the couple next to us loudly asked for a manager to get an explanation on the quality of their experience, specifically about arriving cold and the small portion sizes. We obviously overheard the manager say, “yes I can see that your dishes were not prepared right”. The manager never came to us to apologize about the scene, the waitress did.
The waitress was very friendly and other than forgetting the Mac and cheese (which she fetched within 30 seconds) really had no control over the experience or quality of the food or wait times.
Overall, I cannot recommend this to anyone. Especially for that kind of money. It was overpriced, overcooked, underwhelming, and not at all worth it.
I made a sandwich when I got home immediately after... still hungry.
Skip this until they can get it...
Read moreFirst of all, I never write reviews, so the fact that I have to is bad. I would give this place a 1 star, but due to the manager taking my order off of the bill I will give it 2 stars. When I first walked in with my boyfriend, I didn't even see a host. A guy with a sweatshirt comes and mumbles how many and doesn't greet us. He seated us and didn't give us silverware. The waitress was fine and the time was fine. We received our food, which then I had to ask for silverware. Me and my boyfriend recieved silverware at the same time. His was fine, but mine was DISGUSTING. I picked it up and not even realizing to look at it. My hand was covered in chocolate from a previous user of this silverware. The knife had spots on it as well. I was so sure nobody washed those. I've worked at a restaurant before as a host and it's SUPER important to check that the silverware is clean before wrapping it. I then tried my food, which was the linguini alfredo with regular chicken. I tried a bite and it tasted like nothing. I even added salt and it didn't do anything to the taste. It just tasted like plain noodles and gross chicken. I asked for the manager from the waitress, which she said the food didn't look good when she even took it out to me. The manager took it back and asked if I wanted anything else.. which I was feeling sick to my stomach at this point, so I didn't eat anything else.. just wanted to leave. The manager was nice and took my plate back and took my food off of the bill. I do not...
Read moreI wish I could 5* our waitress; she was fantastic. Now for the not-so-fantastic. Our lobster tails were made of rubber. My wife ordered a filet and was served a sirloin. When we spoke to the manager, "Trish," we were informed that we must not have ever eaten lobster before and that they served it with a knife for that purpose. Sorry to say, Trish, lobster isn't supposed to require a steak knife. Trish then proceeded to tell my wife, who is a graduate from culinary school, that she had a master's degree and we didn't know what we were talking about. We were also served crab legs with no meat. I've seen better crab legs on the local Chinese buffet. This is not a cheap meal for most people; you expect things to be cooked right. Especially items that they make all day long. The atmosphere was great; nobody else was around. That should have been a warning sign. Let's talk about staff! They are why the review has the stars it does. We felt bad for them; they are working for tips, yet management is chasing customers away daily. Look at the other reviews for more information on that. We got the feeling that the staff felt the same way, just looking at them. Do better, corporate! Trish has done nothing positive for this location. Maybe Trish's manager at corporate, Matt, will do something. This neighborhood has families that...
