Budd Lake Bagels & Deli — Restaurant in Mount Olive

Maybe I caught them on a bad day.....but I had high hopes for this place. I am always looking for a place to grab a sandwich.

I first want to say that their menu is written impressively, with tons of variety and selection.

However, and this is a BIG however---I ordered 2 sandwiches and legitimately got 4 thin slices of meat (total) between both of the specialty, aka "Celebrity Sandwiches" COMBINED. Since it was "to-go," I did not find this out until it was too late. Had I been dining in, I would have demanded my money back.

To the owners: times may be hard---I get it, but don't call yourself a "sandwich shop," if you put almost nothing into a sandwich. Skimping on the core function of a product is no way to win business. Save money in some other function of the operation.

Maybe their breakfast is better, but this was disappointing for a shop that is in a convenient location. I will not be going here again, especially since there are 4 other places to eat in the same plaza, and a much better sandwich shop right...

I came in and asked for my bagels to be lightly toasted and they were burnt i had just opened my bagels as soon as i left the store so not even 2 minutes after she handed them to me in my hand the cream cheese is literally melted like milk i asked for extra on top of the regular new jersey amount you are supposed to get & it looks like i did these at home and i had no cream cheese left the bagels were super crunchy. I tried this place for the first time so that I could compare it to Mount Olive bagel (in the next building) where I went the previous day. I was very disappointed. I ordered a bagel. I asked how much do you charge for butter on the bagel and it was an extra dollar. I said for a dollar put lots of butter on it. Later when I ate my bagel I found a sliver of butter and it was not even real butter. It was some kind of cheap vegetable oil spread. The bagel was not a real chewy bagel.
