Cremino Gelato & Caffe — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

Excellent gelato and such a friendly & welcoming family-run business, however, the portion size was really disappointing.

I really want to go back, but honestly, with similar competitive shops in the area, I would have appreciated more than a tiny scoop for $6. I will say that my scoop seemed smaller than my son’s scoop, so consistency between the workers may also be needed (but his was still small too)…

I truly don’t mind paying top dollar for good things, but knowing that I can go down to Sullivan’s for equally good gelato with a significantly bigger portion for the same price, I would choose the extra drive to go to their competitor.

I’m hopeful the owners will consider checking out their competitor Beardcats (which also is truly top notch) and consider offering similar portions for their prices.

I do feel like it’s important to share that the flavor choices at Cremino are unique and absolutely delicious!!

Cremino Gelato is a great addition to the Carolina Park neighborhood — the shop is brand new, very clean, and you can tell it’s family-owned with a lot of care put into the details. The gelato itself is delicious and super fresh — great flavor and texture! That said, the serving sizes are very small for the price point. We paid $28 for four tiny scoops, which definitely feels steep. Still, it’s high-quality gelato, and people seem willing to pay for it — so I guess they’ve figured out their market! Worth a try if you’re craving something sweet and don’t mind...

We love this new gem in Carolina Park. It’s so nice to have gelato as our bike ride destination. My daughter and I particularly love the all natural homemade flavor options. In my daughter’s words, “I like that there are no chemicals and the gelato is delicious.” I think we’ve tried all the flavors. It’s so hard to choose the best one. We both love the dark chocolate. I love mixing the mango and coconut. If dyes are your thing, you won’t find them here. Haven’t tried the coffee or other food options, yet.

I can’t forget to mention the staff is very friendly...
