Placed a pick-up order today for a pizza, chicken tenders and a salad, on my way into town at 11:17 AM and was told 20 minutes until ready. Perfect since I had 22 minutes left on my drive. I arrived right on time and was told my order needed a “few minutes.” A customer came in behind me and was told the same thing for her order, except, her order was only a few minutes, she paid and left. After this customer, I was told my order needed “7 more minutes” and that my chicken was already done (so, now, I know my chicken is sitting under a warmer while the pizza is still in the oven.) I went back to my car, waited 10 minutes and went back inside. At this point, there was another customer and he was given his order of 3 pizzas. After he left, I was told that my pizza still wasn’t “quite ready.” When it finally came out, it was missing my salad. Had to wait again for the salad to be made.
By the time I got back into my car, it had been 30 minutes past the original time that I had been given for my pick-up order. I was given a half-hearted apology while the cashier literally laughed it off.
Once I got to my destination, the chicken was hard and dry. Presumably, from sitting under a heat lamp for an extra 30 minutes.
If there was a dinner rush, there may be an excuse. But 30 minutes after a given time for an order placed right after they open, no reason for it.
I’m editing my review to reflect that someone reached out to me with a genuine apology and wanted to look into what had happened with the food. I appreciated that someone reached out and genuinely seemed concerned with what had happened. Next time I’m in town, I’m willing to give DeRango’s another try since the pizza was decent and the vegetarian salad with what tasted like homemade Italian dressing...
Read moreAvoid this place they are WAY over priced and there’s much better pizza places in town. Here’s a story of a situation I had: About a week ago I ordered an extra large half bacon half sausage thin crust pizza. When I went to pick it up at the time they told me to they said they did not have that order. I have been ordering pizza from this place for over 3 years and in fact have their number memorized. The girl at the counter took my number and the exact time I called to see if it was in the history. She said she did not have any call from my number. And she did not have a pizza for me. She did not offer to take an order or provide any help for a solution to this situation. She suggested that I ordered from the other derangos down the street. She was very rude and should not be in the front of house. The different derangos do not share the same number so I did not understand how my call could go from their number to the other place for my order to be taken because someone took my order. So, I left upset and frustrated that I had to go somewhere else. About 15 minutes after I left I received a call that she was able to “locate my pizza.” She must be a magician because there was no pizza 15 minutes prior and because she was able to “locate my pizza.” (Which were her exact words) She did not apologize for HER mistake or offer any kind of compensation (ie free delivery or a discount or something/ anything). We told her we did not want it. I will never order...
Read moreI don't understand what happened today I have on a weekly basis I probly order to this 3 times for delivery all I order today was a banana split with chocolate Carmel and strawberries not pineapple because it makes me break out in hives. I ordered at 11:47 it is now 1:45 p.m. and when I received it guess what was on it pineapple. I was told 30 minutes ago it would be here within 5 minutes it was not. When I call and ask what's going on don't have a good answer for me. I don't know if they had to milk a cow and Then start fresh with making homemade ice cream but I can actually make homemade ice cream at home in less than 20 minutes so it's beyond me why it would take 2 hours to get ice cream and then when I get it it's not right how long does it take to make to ice creams. I coulda went to Culver's ate it And done that 3 times in 2 hours over and over again and it still would have taken that long. But what's more appalling to me is that I took literally 5 minutes with my order going over a simple variation of a banana split don't put pineapples on it instead put Carmel on it. Does anybody else think that it's not very difficult or is that just me. So disappointed not to mention when I call back the act like why am I calling back how dare I and then I'm told well it does take 15 minutes to set it freeze it so that it doesn't melt on the way there OK it's still been 2 hours you could a froze 12 of them and it still would have taken that of time...
