UPDATE: If i thought it was bad before this place should close down, i decided to try once more and my smokehouse brisket was swimming in BBQ sauce and mayonnaise, the bun was soggy and all the meat fell out of the sandwich so i had to eat it with my fingers because the staff was to busy giggling and another eating over where food is made, the place was a dump and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been mop in years or swept with debri everywhere, ive seen old side road gas stations with cleaner restrooms. I did an online order to eat there and when i arrived a few minutes early the sandwich was ready, i said whete is it and they pointed down so i went that way and still couldn't find it so i said can you just point out where it is? Someone finally did and it was on this little rack almost hidden as you walk in where door dash picks up, i had no cup so had to ask and chips instead of the baked cheddar ruffles. They didnt have one other customer or made a sandwich so i guess im late to find out this place has fallen as far as possible, you should find somewhere else to eat because this place will only disappoint.
Orinal review: Fallen on hard times apparently and theres a new staff there that doesn't understand making a good sandwich, here is my smokehouse brisket, i have had atleast 10 of these sandwiches since they opened and this one by far was the worst, i mean the gull to charge well over $10 for a couple pieces meat, i calmly brought this to the attention of the guy at the register and he thought it was fine, well fine it is since I wont be back here and spread the word it's a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad my first visit to Firehouse Subs tonight. Upon arrival 20 minutes prior to closing, instead of greeting me, the first employee I encountered brought to our attention that they would be closing at 9 so please hurry. As I had never been, I took a moment to read the menu and proceeded to order. At this point, my boyfriend asked to upgrade his side to chili and was informed that it was too late. None left. Finished placing order and it took almost 10 minutes for 3 employees to make 2 subs (although one employee was near the bathroom on a cell phone from the time I arrived until after our food was served). At this point it was about 857, but we had already elected to eat in the restaurant when placing the order with 15 minutes before closing. Upon delivering our food to the table, we were again reminded that they close at 9. When I had about 2 bites left, the employee who had been on the phone informed me that she needed to mop the floors and turn out the lights so we need to finish. I responded that we were almost done and out the door. As my boyfriend refilled our drinks, I cleaned the table and wiped it. We then left and were followed out by the same employee rudely telling us "Don't come in here again so close to close. We don't have to serve you." Needless to say, we will not be returning and WILL share this experience with our large families who also will not patronize Firehouse...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFood is good. - Updated - see below... But online ordering VERY FREQUENTLY has the Racine store as unavailable. The phone app does the same thing. Does this AFTER you've entered your whole order. SO maybe just try to call the place. NOPE. Nobody answers. Complained to company on-line. Was told to order in-store for pick up. Why have the app then? Maybe I do not want to stand around in a store for 20 minutes. Maybe hire website builder 101 to fix your app?
8/29/25 We ordered food at around 7 PM. App worked :)
Walking in to pick up the order I noticed the floor looked like it had not been swept all shift.
None of the bread was toasted which made the sandwiches a mushy mess.
I got the steamer which is what I always get. The meat had a LARGE amount of fat on it. It was difficult to eat due to the above mentioning of the bread not being toasted. The sandwich was cut all the way through and the bread and meat just slid around independent of each other.
I googled to see if a heated sandwich at firehouse sub should have toasted bread and google said yes. I didn't want to complain to this extent if I was at fault.
Unfortunately we will never be back to the Racine firehouse sub restaurant. This was our fast food of choice, well my wife's fast food of choice because she needs the gluten free bread.
I tried. I...
