Potbelly — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

I ordered 8/27/2024 at 11:58 am for delivery. The app gave me an estimated delivery time of 12:23pm. I kept updating and checking the app and no updates. At 1:44 I still hadn’t received my order so I called the store. Called about 5x back to back before someone answered sound half asleep saying “Potbelly’s on Washington” I explained my situation. They asked for the name on my order and then the call was disconnected. Called back 5-6 more times until someone else answered. I asked to speak with the manager. Explained to him. He said “yea we have your order here. We deliver 3rd party with door dash and no one ever came to pick it up and deliver it. But you can come get it” I explained the reason I opted for delivery is because I am at work and can’t come to pick it up and I don’t want food that’s been sitting for over 2 hours and would like a refund. Well today is 9/7/24 and I still haven’t received that refund. I went on the app and hit contact us and filled out the questionnaire and selected to have someone call back and follow up….nothing. I’m so annoyed and upset and I just want my money back!...

I was here for a door dash today and I was feeling a bit hungry, so I thought I would get me something quick.. I ended up getting just a bowl of soup because a sandwich would have taken time to be made. It was my first time eating from here. Overall, the atmosphere and the customer service was on point. However, the soup that I chose originally was the potato soup. I did not like it, so I went back and exchanged it for the broccoli cheddar. I paided 6.92 for the bowl. Maybe they have a certain amount of measured scoops because it wasn't to the top like the picture online but I did not think it was worth that amount but I was already committed. I love broccoli cheddar soup, but I did not like theirs. This is why I gave it a one star for the soup. One day I will go back and try a sandwich or maybe I won't after reading some of the other reviews. Sounds like I'd be better off going to subway lol. And the automated generated response to all the reviews is sad. That should really have a real person to read...

I have given this place 3 chances and they have failed me every time. First instance, I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and I promise you they only used a half square of kraft cheese for the entire sandwich. Second instance, they gave me the entire wrong order. Third instance (tonight), I asked what kind of soups they had today and the kid says’ “uh I think the updated our menu outside, it should say” well all the menu said was “soups” so I kindly explained they weren’t on the menu so he started to reluctantly rattle them off to me at the speed of infomercial disclaimers. Needless to say I picked one. Finally, I ordered a meatball sandwich and the kid goes, “yeah I just put the meatballs in it’s going to be a while.” Poor attempt at winning my business kid. This was at 5pm..aka dinner rush...shouldn’t you be a little more prepared than that?? Disappointed...
