First of I would like to reiterate We as,United States Americans, have the entitlement to Freedom Of Speech. It is clear to the offenses tht the owners of this establishment have incurred assuming tht we do not have the just right to give the opinions of what we were served at this establishment in this review. We reserve our constitutional rights to exercise our rights to Freedom of Speech,as this is our right as US citizens. If you don't want to accept the criticism so you can better improve your establishment then sadly that's your opinion. This however is ours and we reserve our rights to it. We came to have what we thought was two burritos, one burrito was Al Pastor and the other Regular chopped steak,NOT ARRACHERA,WHICH MEANS ITS NOT REAL SKIRT STEAK.SO YOU'RE NOT GETTING AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD.But instead we were served two burrito dinners. So the burritos came out automatically with the dinners. So they give no choice as to what you are going to eat when it comes to the burrito. As you can see in the pics nothing was placed inside the burritos but instead it was placed on the side of their salty red flavorless mexican rice, and the beans were not authentic they were a clumpy over fried version of beans with no flavor...But let's focus on the Beefsteak burrito flavor..Since you can sincerely taste the beef liver flavor in it...Now that's a distinct flavor tht you can honestly taste and its flavors were definitely in the steak meat. The cup of virgin piña colada was small and more ice than anything. It was also a half of a real coconut glued to a candle holder. The other side had a pool table tht you can play at $1.00 a game...Tht was the only thing tht was alright.Plz notice the pics at how smashed burrito was.It was literally like two smashed tacos in its meat sized portions, and the portions overall were very small, not even close to medium sized portions...I dislike tht people come here and they get BAMBOOZLED into thinking they're getting genuine Mexican food when the quality and quantity are neither in this place. To be honest if you wanna great place to eat real Mexican food. Google: Amigo Chino in Chicago Illinois on Irving Pk and Central Ave and you'll have the biggest Portions on everything they make there and the taste is Authentic made by real Mexican Americans or if you're in Milwaukee, WI,you can go to La Señorial Mexican Restaurant. The portions are not so big but they're bigger than this places servings. The plus side is tht it's real good Authentic Mexican flavors..I gave it this place the 1 to 2 stars because this had no option to let me...
Read moreThe service seems a little below average here, but not bad. They had a salsa for the chips and salsa it was a great, very hot how I like it. The steak tacos I had we're good the rice and beans were good and beans were firm which I really liked a lot of places I've gone there this is too watery, but not here. The plate that the tacos came on had slots for the tacos to they wouldn't spill. There are four TVs behind the bar, each with something different on, covering entertainment for just about everyone.
EDIT: Today (January 17th, 2025), I had Don Chuy's Fajita Burrito. It was excellent. The menu said it was big, but that is an understatement. I could probably make 3 or 4 meals out of it, heck, maybe a fifth. The server was great. Unfortunately I've been told that this establishment will be closing March 1st of this year 2025. I heard two different reasons for this one was that business never really picked up after covid, and the other that seems a little more likely to me is that the VASA Gym is there, their customers are taking all the parking so Mi Tierra customers have no place to park, how the owner of the building hadn't foreseen this and even not know that it's happening marking off some parking for the smaller businesses surrounding this for the customers of those businesses having a...
Read moreI am unsure what has happened to this restaurant, it was previously one of my favorites! The last few times we have went have been lacking. And I think today put the nail in the coffin. Our salsa was partially frozen, the service was slow, and getting our food was even slower we waited 30 mins for our food, we were a party of 2 (it was not busy in the restaurant- and this has been typical the last few times we have gone), while the long wait for food, we were never asked if we wanted drink refills or more frozen salsa. The food that was delivered to our table did not meet the crazy increase in the menu prices. And we were charged additional for a small cup of sour cream there was none on the plate.....almost $2.00. The chicken taco had grease pouring out of it. Cute restaurant lots of potential with the atmosphere, but a let down with food...
