Peking Gourmet Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

Nice people and quick service but the food was honestly the absolute worst “Chinese” I have ever had anywhere. There’s a reason that’s in quotation marks. I would rate it no stars if Google didn’t force me to select at least 1 to post this. The “fried rice” was not actually fried rice (I think I saw slight evidence of veggies, and not a sighting of egg to be had), the sweet and sour sauce was probably sourced from a jug from Publix (no fresh pineapple, green pepper or onion??), and the fried pieces of chicken were 85% breading and 15% chicken. Sad to say, but I can’t even speak to the sadness of the “General Tso’s” chicken. Reminded me more of leftover Buffalo Wild Wings that sat on the counter all night. Very disappointing. I’m all about supporting local business but please don’t waste your money...

One of the worst experiences for a Chinese restaurant I have ever had. My fiance and I have ordered from this restaurant before and didn't have the issues that we had this evening. I walked in and ordered and had to wait approx 25 min for our food to realize that our food was ready and waiting for us on the counter. Then I got home and my food had no flavor what-so-ever and my fiances food had a burnt flavor. Neither one of us finished our dinner and we threw it out. We also ordered the Crab Rangoon's and they were very bland and they don't include the sweet and sour sauce that is normally served with it for dipping (at any other Chinese restaurant).

We will NEVER go back there...

I read the reviews about this restaurant prior to ordering and most of them were negative. I am new to the area and decided to take a chance and it was a horrible decision.

I ordered the Boneless Spare Ribs, Sesame Chicken, and 4 Chicken Wings combos. The pork fried rice was decent. It wasn't too greasy and under seasoned. The worse part of the meal were the meats. ALL of the meats were dry, over cooked, and lacked flavor. It seemed like they were previously cooked and then re-warmed for us. It was nasty!!

This is the WORSE Chinese food I've ever eaten! Nothing about the food was "gourmet". Save yourself and your money. Try another restaurant!!
