Really upsetting that this is the building at this beautiful bridge, this has potential to be an amazing tourist stop and bring in a lot of revenue with how beautiful the pier and walk is next to the bridge. However, the cafe is basically gas station food and is overpriced. I ordered a coffee and a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, and the coffee was burnt and they gave me a sausage egg and cheese biscuit that was thrown in the microwave. The employees too were rather rude and bothered that I was even there, not welcoming at all. The shop offers cute tourist-y items but they are all overpriced and not worth it in my opinion. My son is special needs and is obsessed with the bridge and wanted to have his bday there. So I called ahead and spoke with Jeffery and asked a bunch of questions and figured out how to make this happen. Jeffery was so polite and helpful. Answers everything I needed. Even saved a book for my son in the back for me to purchase about how they built the bridge. He even asked if he could work today to help with the party. Read moreI frequent the pier at Mt.Pleasant and I used to enjoy a warm sandwich until I arrived at 7 pm one evening last week and the young lady behind the counter informed me when I ordered my favorite sandwich that they didn't serve warm or toasted sandwiches one hour prior to closing and I was quite surprised as it's a tourist attraction as well and she was happy to see me disappointed and refused any food and left . I haven't returned either as I worked in a customer service position most of my life and if your dealing with the public well that's customer service. Best Regards...
