Edit for a positive note and adding a star for service: The gentleman running the front desk Monday morning/afternoon 9/1 was very courteous and helpful in assisting us with an item that was left behind. My youngest daughter left something very sentimental behind and he let us know that he would be happy to assist us in getting the item back to our home promptly. The lady who was working there on Sunday morning/early afternoon could take a lesson in kindness and customer service from this gentleman!
The rooms are nice and spacious. We stayed in a 2 queen room with an extra sofa bed. The location and proximity to amazing attractions and restaurants is also fantastic. The service, however, leaves much to be desired. To begin, even though google lists their popular amenities as pet friendly, be advised, they are not, which the very RUDE morning/afternoon desk manager let us know in the most unkind way possible. When we checked in Saturday, a very nice and respectful employee asked us about our dogs as service dogs and we explained to her that my father and I both have diabetes. That was all she asked (because that is the law) and she took down our room number and that was it! When this front desk manager asked questions, she was very coarse, rude, intrusive and annoying. You are only allowed to ask 2 questions about service dogs and she asked SEVERAL more than that. She tried to tell US how we needed to use OUR dogs and had the worst attitude. She told so many lies. She has only seen our dogs ONE time and they were not barking, they were being still and we had them completely controlled. They barked at eachother across the courtyard 1 time outside and she said our dogs were unruly, obnoxious and they continually barked at eachother, which is far from the truth. I wanted to love this place, but I can assure you, with this type of service, we will never be back (even if we don't have dogs) and we will tell others not to stay here as well! This type of HARASSMENT & smug behavior is completely unacceptable. I will be filing a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice because you are not allowed to ask specifically what disability the dogs are for and she did JUST that. She looked at my father and I like we were stupid and said, so BOTH of you actually have diabetes? That is uncalled for NOT allowed...
Read moreWorst experience EVER. I booked this dump on line, after seeing good reviews.. They must have been fake. I have never been greeted in such a Rude way, No hello, just a give me your credit card and drivers license. But she did take the time to yell at another guest bringing in her luggage “ Remember No Pets, No Smoking” while she was looking up my reservation. I had requested a handicap bath room on line, but said there was only one in the hotel and it was taken The motel smelled moldy and was very dated. But after driving for 10 hours, I was just ready to go to my room and relax. After our wonderful greeting, we went to our room. It was freezing, so I tried to turn down the air conditioner, but the switch did not work, so I went down to Miss Charming at the front desk, and she said I just didn’t know that it was the same “noise”. She said she would move us to another room if the air conditioner was really defective, but added saying “hope you didn’t mess up the room” We had been in it 5 minutes… But when the maintenance man to came, he said that the unit had to be replaced and he didn’t have another, she said well something had to be done since she had to “ sell” that room. She did put us in another room across the hall, but after moving all of our luggage, AGAIN, my 89 year old Mother In Law turned on the TV, but the volume didn’t work, would not go above level 4, and the close caption also didn’t work. Another call to Miss Charming, and she said she would send the maintenance man. As we were waiting my Mother In Law called down to the front desk to see if she could get a list of the TV channels, “ come down to the front desk and I will put it on the counter” and promptly hung up on her. That was it.. We left the dump and went down the street to the Days Inn where we were greeted professionally, were given a handicapped room, the front desk clerk took me to the room to make sure it was acceptable after hearing my horror story of our experience at the Quality Inn and Suites. What a difference..And it was...
Read moreWe had some troubles when we first checked in. I requested a room close to the elevator because I can't walk very far. I checked us in while my husband got the stuff from the car. I walked out of the elevator onto the floor our room was on and ended up walking until the third room from the end of the hall. I tried unsuccessfully to use the key card three times and then someone inside opened the door. The room was already taken. I was so embarrassed! So I had to walk all the way back to the elevator then to the front desk which was now empty. My husband and I stood there for 15 minutes before this woman carrying a paper plate of food covered in tin foil came down the stairs. At this point I was pretty upset. I explained to her what happened and she informed me that I didn't have to get upset with her. It wasn't her fault she was the only one working. (Turned out there was a high school reunion that night on the second floor and that's where she came from with the plate of food). The lady asked us to wait while she worked this out. She grabbed two more key cards and yes...those rooms were taken as well. By the time she found a room for us, it was at the very end of the hall and was not the suite we reserved. She gave us a discount for that room and told my husband she'd have it all worked out in the morning. The next day she got us a room that was one door away from the elevator, was a suite, charged this room at the same price as the 0 room the night before and had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. With this upgrade, we ended up happy customers but boy oh boy it was a rocky start. The story we got was that someone on the shift before hers had to make some room changes due to problems with some of the rooms. This person neglected to make the changes in the computer so there was no way to know which rooms we're vacant and which ones were occupied. I'm just glad they were able to fix...
