I couldn’t love Second State anymore!! It’s my go to spot in Charleston for bags of whole bean (can’t even pick a fave!), iced lavender lattes with oat milk and their granola bars at the counter. I love each location, but my fave is the one in Oyster Park which is close to my house and a great vibe for working on admin work between paintings as a Charleston based artist… always fueled by the best! Nope…okay, what about a pour over then that you list on your menu right there…oh, we can’t do that we cleaned up the equipment already. I mean seriously, you all are supposed to be a coffee shop, you serve limited food. Why not just close at 10am if you will not serve any coffee. Staff turnover is pretty high so the consistency in their product also varies from day-to-day.
If you are pushed for time, do not go here. The queue, even with only 3-4 people can take 10-15 mins to get served and then another 10 for your coffee.
