Traveling from Southern California and had heard about this restaurant from a friend, we had to try it while in town. First impression as you walk in is great looking decor from the lighting to the tables. Huge bar with great woodwork and granite counter top. Very much like a place that my wife and I would call "our spot" if it were back home. Friendly staff as we were seated right away on a Friday night (yes we made reservations and I do recommend that you do as well). Ordered drinks and a few appetizers. Tuna Tataki, Ravioli stuffed with Butternut Squash and an order of assorted Olives. Next up was the Tuna Nachos (don't let the name fool you, Heaven was already taken). Onto the Ceasar Salad. And for the entrée, Grilled Salmon over house made Spinach Fettuccine with sautéed spinach, tomatoes, olives and zucchini. This was by far one of the best meals my wife and I have had in the 25 years we've been together. Oh yeah, we finished the night off with an amazing chocolate brownie with a cream cheese top. The only thing I would have done differently...we would have eaten here more nights this past week. We were too full to try more things...

Overall: over-priced for okay food, small portions, the waiter was great but the female with curly dark hair who seems to be the owner was very defensive and unpleasant; this being because I did not enjoy the grouper(main reason for the 2 stars) Ordered the fish and chips, flounder, grouper, and shrimp pasta. The fish and chips: fries were good, fish was over battered and kind of plain, the tartar sauce was pretty good. Flounder: a local favorite, was the worst dish out of all of them, very greasy and the grits tasted kind of like tapioca pudding. Grouper: this dish was solid, the fish was good, asparagus cooked perfectly and mashed potatoes were tasty. The sauce could have used more flavor. Shrimp pasta: I did not try it but my sister did and enjoyed it.
Reasons for the 2 stars: price-point set too high for the quality, the manager/owner...

On SEVERAL occasions I've witnessed her pouring shots for she and what I assume are the kitchen staff and getting waisted. I figured maybe it was a fluke the first time I went there, but it has happened almost every time since. I have friends that go there as well, and they've said this is a common occurrence. As I said not only does she get drunk, but she's also super rude and snippy. How can an establishment like this continue to let this happen? Not only is this unbelievably unprofessional, but I'm sure they are all getting in to their cars after work and then driving...
