Came here once for dinner and the experience was OK. Friendly enough wait staff, decent food. Brunch however was a dismal experience.
Walked in to find a gaggle of teenagers on staff, wide eyed as if they had never witnessed a Saturday brunch crowd before. Indeed, no one greeted us or even acknowledged our presence. At one point somebody who may have been a hostess, approximately age 16, came over to push buttons on the computer next to us then walked away. Again, not one single person on staff noticed us or the other people who were coming in.
We spotted two chairs at the bar and sauntered over. Bartender was quick to take our drinks and deliver, and then promptly forgot we were there. Though she’d provided menus, no questions about whether we planned to eat or what we were ordering. Never had to work so hard to get a bartender’s attention for the order or the check.
Food was okayyyyyy but not worth the five stars left by other reviewers, nor the time it took to arrive. Eggs a little undercooked, biscuits dry.
Larry King’s talk show about geriatric medicine played on half the TV screens. Why? Why would you choose that program over literally anything else?
Normally I’d give the staff a pass if it were an overly busy crowd, but even with a 2/3 full house, the brunch staff struggled. Two overwhelmed bartenders who couldn’t stand the fact the job description involves customers, and some listless kids who were masterful at “wandering busy”.
We couldn’t wait to get out, and it felt like the staff felt the same way about us. And I get it. They clearly host a banging brunch crowd so two people couldn’t possibly seem that important. For next time, I’ll take my business to any one of the numerous area brunches that offer the same or better menu with friendly service no matter how large or...
Read moreSad thing is we come here every Sunday to hear the band play. After waiting for 15 mins at a table... Literally listened to the servers argue about who was taking our table... 20 mins later we left... When speaking to the manager on duty tonight who was behind the bar washing dishes his response..." Well it's getting late I can see a server not wanting to take a table" just let me remind everyone it is now only 8:13. For a 6 top... Let's just say we all had just as meals $10 dinners... Not to mention we are all of age and are drinking... I'm sure any manager can do the math. Which I myself always order the chicken dip and then the tuna salad...so that alone is more than $20. Not to include my drinks... For you guys to be slow on Labor Day... And to lose out because your manager is well... Not quite manager material is actually sad. AND we are regulars... And we're bringing food and bev into the building for the first time. His response was less than decent for the situation. In no way shape or form were we looking for anything for free... Nor would we have accepted it... As stated before we are all bartenders... However the sarcastic response and fact that he thought as a server it was "late" to serve dinner is beyond ridiculous. You as a manager... I will not mention your name on here because I understand the repercussions as a establishment... However beyond disappointed. The food is wonderful... The service is usually sub par... But tonight... If I had this sort of impression on a customer I would be fired on the spot. Especially letting customers hear after 15 mins of no service them discussing who would be the one taking the table. Hostess was the only one to apologize......
Read moreHey Google reviewers…..it saddens me to have to give a restaurant a bad review. This was my first time ever visiting this establishment. And from the reviews that I saw and was hearing, I was truly excited about trying it out. Unfortunately, it was the opposite of my expectations. First off, we sat there for at ten minutes watching four servers walk back and forth pass us just serving customers that sat on the patio. Secondly, I finally got the attention of a male server that assured me that he was going to find out what was the hold up. Well that didn’t go well at all because there was a table that came in after we did which consisted of two Caucasian females and one black female. And please viewers I’m not racist at no level, but I felt as though that discrimination was displayed. The young male waiter came back in the area where both tables were seated and walked past us to serve the three young ladies. And I expressed to him that we came in first before that table. He expressed to me that he was informed to go serve that table and someone would be with us shortly. We decided to just leave because we couldn’t believe what we was hearing. How rude and unprofessional was that incident? In all my years of dining out, I have never experienced something to that magnitude. And after that, I won’t ever think or even attempt to visit that establishment. That just goes to show that it is poorly managed and the staff is poorly trained. I will stop here because I can write a book about this first time horrific experience. Sorry followers for having to speak poorly on an...
