Let me preface by saying I’m not a picky eater by any means and rarely ever complain, even if the food at a restaurant isn’t super great. Stopped by Yaks on the way back from mt Shasta to grab a bite to eat because our season passes come with a killer discount. The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly, but the burger… man oh man, that burger. I ordered the take your cloves off burger (I believe that’s what it’s called) because it had a clever name and I am a big garlic fan myself. The presentation looked great, but wow, the heaping pile of fermented garlic dumped on top of the burger was so overbearing and spicy that it completely drowned out any potential flavor the burger could’ve had. I could understand a smaller portion of it mixed into the aioli or on the bun or something. The server asked me how the food was, and I told her it was honestly pretty terrible, but it wasn’t anything really to do with the making of the burger, just the ingredients. She told me there was a warning on the menu, which I did read (said something to the effect of “warning will repel vampires, exes, and possibly anyone close”) and thought it was just a clever gimmick to play on the novelty of the burger and the overall vibe of the place. I took the patty out to eat it separately because I had paid for it and was pretty hungry, and it was very underseasoned if at all. Anyways, 3 stars because everything else about the place seemed fun, and I guess I could’ve taken the seemingly sarcastic warning more seriously. I just can’t really believe something like that is even served; it is really...
Read more7/24/‘25, This was my first time at Drizzle. My son and I came up for the day and decided to get lunch and drive up to the top of Mt Shasta to enjoy our lunch. His food looked amazing and so did my salad. Quickly realized I wasn’t given dressing and my everything salad didn’t include everything! It was missing cherry tomatoes, black beans, croutons and the salad dressing. Disappointed but ate a little since I was hungry. A little while later about 5:00 after coming off the mountain we stopped by the Drizzle. I went to the side pickup window and knocked. In a bit a gal came to the window. I told her my salad was missing the items. The first thing she asked me was if I’d done a review! What? No I said, thinking what did that matter? She had an attitude I really didn’t appreciate. She said would you like us to remake it? “Yes, that would be nice”, a few other things happened with other customers needing stuff at the window seemed like not great service but just needed my salad and not wanting to put up a fuss. Another gal gave me my re-made salad. Just as I was about to leave I thought I’d make sure there was dressing inside the container. Nope! Luckily I caught the gal who was working the register with the attitude and said, “there’s no dressing”! She said “was your salad dry before”? What? What a funny question when I’d told her it was missing the dressing!!! Really bad service and attitudes! Got into the car and as we were driving away I noticed no cherry tomatoes or croutons!!!! I know this place seems popular but not sure how it stays...
Read moreWe had a bad experience. The gf vegan cookie was dry and lacked flavor to the point of inedible. The person working the register ignored me for a long time when I came in, and when I finally ordered, lacked friendliness. I wondered if she treated everyone like that, or just my demographic? The juice and burritos were expensive, and they messed up the order the first time. I waited in line for about five minutes the second time to have the order corrected. It was a long wait for food that was expensive and not very good. Worst was the weird marketing signs all over the patio, touting how wonderful they are. I felt shouted at by the hype. The tone was off. Also it was confusing to order indoors and pick up the food outdoors with cutsie laminated names rather than our actual person names. With some friendliness and better communication, this place might be ok, but the prices are high, and I don't want to be surrounded by signs explaining to me in (I'm not exaggerating) 15 different ways how great the restaurant is that I'm already arrived at. I would not return here even if the food was free. The only thing I liked was the flavorful ginger sauce. The beet cucumber juice was tasty too, but a small quantity...
