Papa’s Donuts — Restaurant in Mount Shasta

Although I am very excited to have an amazing new donut shop in Mt. Shasta as this town needs a shop like this, I was disappointed with the price of the gluten-free donuts. I have not been able to eat a doughnut in six years since I had to go gluten-free. When I was told each gluten-free donut was four dollars a piece I almost choked. The other same size donuts are $1.25 a piece. That is almost 4 times the price and that is simply not justifiable even though the price of gluten-free flour is more expensive. I bought one donut, walked out, and probably won’t afford that again. Excited about the shop, but very disappointed in what felt like donut...

We had been warned that they sell out early, so we arrived right when they opened and their stock was full! I was so excited to see an entire case dedicated to gluten free donuts. There were several flavor options of GF cake donuts — plain, cinnamon sugar, crumb, blueberry, chocolate frosted, and maple frosted. The maple was perfect!

My husband is not GF and got the apple fritter and a cinnamon twist. Both were huge...

Just absolutely fantastic customer service. This means not telling people no. Giving options. I got to wait for the most delicious hot apple fritter I have ever encountered instead of being sent away like so many others would have. Didn't have cash for the tip so I will make it up by returning often. Please support this business. We need local business to succeed more than...
