We recently stayed in Suite 210 ( 1 King Bed w/ Mtn View Executive Suite), and it was perfect. We were fortunate to find such a gem at an amazing rate with such short notice.
General info about the hotel: This boutique hotel is lovely and conveniently located downtown near several restaurants, groceries stores and shops. There is also an award winning coffee shop on the first floor. Check-in was a breeze ( contactless) , parking wasn't a problem ( street parking, but with plenty of space), and we had absolutely no issues during our stay. It was impeccably clean, well appointed, and beautifully decorated. We felt at home. The only thing visitors might want to be aware of is that there are train tracks nearby and so, while a very quiet place to stay overall, the trains will likely wake you up at night once or twice. The hosts thoughtfully included ear plugs for those who may want them. Also, keep in mind that some rooms have a view of Mount Shasta, while others have a mountain view. This is clearly marked on their website,so just a heads up because we wrongly assumed that mountain view meant Mount Shasta view.
Specifics for Suite 210: This beautiful Suite ( which has a mountain view) could be better described as a luxury apartment. We walked in and were immediately impressed. The kitchen is beautiful and well stocked with all you need, and the skylight and light fixture above the large dining table are just amazing. The living room is large and cozy with a flat screen tv as well as a nice view of the mountains. The bedroom is also surprisingly large and open, with a separate sitting area, a flat screen tv, and an incredibly comfortable bed. The master bathroom is beautiful with double sinks, a huge shower and a wonderful stand alone soaking tub. (Shampoo, Conditioner and body lotion are provided as well as a hair dryer) The half bathroom also includes a washer and dryer.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay at Summit Lofts and would definitely stay here again....
Read moreIn mid-May 2023, my husband and I stayed at Summit Lofts for 2 nights when we had an intro backcountry trip guided by Shasta Mountain Guides (SMG; see my review on them). They came highly recommended by SMG and I can see why! The rooms were easy to book, but more importantly, the people are great to work with. When I had to reschedule to do a family emergency, the folks helped me rebook and walked through with me the different rooms available, after understanding what I was looking for. They were so kind, patient and flexible. They want guests to have a good experience in their lodgings and in Mt. Shasta. We booked the suite #101 on the ground floor. Check-in was really easy with their instructions sent beforehand and I loved the privacy and convenience of our room (private entrance off the alley). Our room was spotlessly, clean, thoughtfully decorated for both aesthetics and comfort, and had all the amenities we were looking for -- a kitchen, dining table & chairs, and small living room with comfortable couch and lounge chair. It even had a full size washer-dryer! We could easily have stayed there a week. The location can't be beat, with it next to SMG, Fifth Season, grocery stores, and restaurants. You can head out to trail runs straight from the lodge. (Note: It's 2 hour parking right by the lodge, but you can park overnight just a street up.) We heard they will have a great roaster/cafe onsite in a few months, so we can't wait for that the next time we come. We met the owner, too, and he was thoughtful, considerate and ensured all our needs were met... everything exceeded our expectations from the lodging, the service...

They hide behind the counter at Theory with a grin, But the devil’s in the brew, you can taste the sin. Sippin’ poison like it’s Starbucks, laced and slick, But it’s child tears in the foam, make you sick when it hits.
They wear that mask like they part of the light, But their eyes give ‘em up when they blink at night. Nazis in the apron, voodoo in the smile, Fake kinfolk posted up like crocodiles.
Serving spells in the latte, curse in the drip, Caffeine ritual, they praying you slip. They ain’t family, they the ones in the fold, Like McDonald's meat—yeah, that secret been told.
Pedos in disguise, molding kids like clay, Now you eating what they made every time you pay. Big Mac with a side of framed fall guys, They silence the brave and decorate lies.
And maybe those who vanished, ain’t lost in the snow, Just cooked in the kitchen, that’s how dark it go. You ordered fries, but you fed on souls, Truth hidden in the steam rising from the bowls.
So Amen to the chosen, we expose the deep, With a pen like a blade while the sleepers sleep. No peace 'til the mask gets ripped from the face, And Mt. Shasta breathes fire, reclaiming the place.
Terrible poisoned coffee and they banned me for singing all happy quietly in the corner on my phone.
