First of all this store is outstanding and led by the owner Deb, who is an exceptionally wise and present person who blew my mind after I came in very upset about the experience I had as a prepaid client using a 3g phone.
Silly me, I believed I had until February to upgrade. So AT&T apparently upgraded our local towers and this ended my ability to use my phone to call out. My mother is in hospice care and my son is very ill in another state. Suddenly, no call outs!
Seriously a very rude thing to do to someone with a mom in hospice and a son in the hospital in another state. Couldn't call out. For a week. !!!
Prepaid 611 is non existent, period. POINT BEING I arrived there freaking out about the inability to call. Seriously I felt it was a marketing tactic (is it?), and arrived with the intention of ending my service and going to Verizon.
Then I met Deb, the owner who immediately zeroed in on the problem and what had gone wrong with two previous attempts to resolve it. In fact the same two sales persons were there and Deb pulled them into pull an all-hands-on-deck fix--and fix they certainly did! HOLY COW! She was so decent, smart, informed and capable, I sat there with my jaw on the floor. The girl knows her stuff and was so solid with me, I totally changed my mind.
I will say that AT&T corporate is doing no favors for their store owners with this weird strategy of suddenly "upgrading" customers right out of their ability to make calls on 3 and 4 g phones without warning. BTW, we are surrounded by wildfires right now. I called and called 611, for HOURS. I can assure you, NO ONE gets through to prepaid 611, no one. SO what else will we do except head into the store?
This store is friendly, comfortable and savvy. Deb and the staff took care of me --my mind did a 180 on AT&T because of this store, seriously. Take notice corporate, she saved you a customer and likely made you many more because as I sat there, I learned about discount services for First Responders, Nurses and others....
Read moreRevised review. I went back in to ATT store today. I was calm and a nice young lady came over to help me. I explained what I thought happened. She was full of knowledge about ATT and her store. She told me what I needed to know. I was mistaken about a few items. The store owner Deborah came over, we reached out our hands to one another and held tight. We both smiled and all was right with the world. Mad Mountain ATT store has some of the best customers service I've ever experienced. I highly recommend them. They work their tales off making things right for their customers. Now I'm buying an Apple phone. Yea!I went into the store to get a friend. One thing lead to another. They tried many different things to get my business. He took my phone. Pushing buttons intently. Got on their computer. Pushing buttons. Then I hear, " oh no! Your phone just locked up!" I've had the phone a month. Samsung A15. I didn't understand what he meant . I didn't know what was happening. I said , "you mean my phone no longer works?" They ruined my phone and my access to my current carrier . I don't have a phone!!! They go back and forth for a few minutes then they decided without asking me what I want, to "give" me a loaner phone that came back to the store and add my phone number to it . I was dumbfounded. They never once said I'm sorry. Here's what happened. How can we make this ok for you? They didn't give me a screen protector like I had on my new phone. No protective case like I had on my new phone. Not even a charging cord!!! They handed me a bill for service which I had not agreed to. And gave me a quick quote for internet. Which was now $20 higher than they quoted me. The phone bill they handed me was also more than we had talked about . I am in shock! I feel violated! I feel like I was held at gunpoint and robbed!
I am going to call the store after I finish writing this letter. We'll see who's a good honest business person. Wish me luck . Oh by the way all this took over 3 hrs. 3 hours! I'm not...
Read moreWords cannot express how grateful I am for the kindness and patience i recently received here I recently had a tech issue that really did not have much to do with my phone but more to do with an email server. Yet, the owner of the store spent over an hour and a half with me to solve the problem. Not only was she beyond helpful but her calm demeanor and kindness was like taking a master class on how to treat people. While this was happening, I had a wonderful conversation with the young man also working in the store, who brought me a cup of tea and talked shared his heartfelt views of all beings. Every time I walk in this store I feel a warmth ombined with an incredible knowledge of the products and services. This is a store I would drive miles out of my way to come to. It is more than a store, it is a destination, a beacon of kindness and warmth that is an a shining example that any business should aspire to. Wishing you all at AT and T in Mount Shasta, California a Happy Thanksgiving in eternal gratitude. Thank you for showing the true beauty that can exists within the...
