Our daughter recently graduated 🎓 from college and when we asked her where she'd like to go to eat and celebrate right after the ceremony she selected this restaurant.
You know how much we love to try new places so we we were game. She rode with a friend (boyfriend but my husband can't accept it yet - story for a whole other day). Let's stay focused here. We were supposed to meet them but they went to a different location so we decided to sit down and order while waiting for them to arrive. Yes we ordered for them as well - we weren't going to be rude and the restaurant was closing in a little bit as well.
Idalia was our waitress and she was very kind and helpful. She welcomed us in with a warm sweet smile and answered all questions we had while also helping us to make selections that suited our individual tastes that evening.
Prior to our meals arriving she brought some of the best salsa I've ever tasted at a Mexican restaurant, complete with chips and an excellent Margarita, which our son helped me drink.
My husband ordered the Chori-Mixto so did our daughter's "friend". I ordered Steak, Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas add cheese on the side. Our son ordered the Quesadilla and our daughter ordered the Birria Tacos 🌮. Our daughter and her friend arrived before the food was delivered to the table and we were all able to eat, celebrate her achievements and be merry together.
The food was excellent and very flavorful. It arrived accurate to our order, fresh and hot - just as you'd expect. Don't you just LOVE how Fajitas come sizzling on a hot plate?!? YUMMY!!! Everyone enjoyed their meal immensely. We all asked for "to go" containers because although the food was excellent, the portions were huge and we couldn't eat it all in one sitting. That's another amazing thing about this restaurant, you get a huge portion, which offers a lot of value for the money.
The bathrooms were being cleaned and I got up a couple of times to go but they were still working on them. Idalia noticed and came to the table letting me know I could go in. She was attentive to all details of our visit, which we all really appreciated. We truly had an excellent experience with her.
The restaurant is very well maintained and beautiful. From the furniture to the art on the walls, all were individual works of art and beautiful. The decor is colorful, bright and it holds a lot of talent and history from various artisans.
Well let me wrap this review up by saying we had an excellent visit here all the way around. This is definitely one of the best experiences I've ever encountered at a Mexican restaurant - or any restaurant, for that matter. From the waitress, to the food, to the visual artistry, to the value for the money - all was AMAZING!
They offer outdoor seating options, plenty of parking, a full service bar and a variety of menu offerings to suit every taste. What more could you want? Give this place a prompt visit and make sure to treat Idalia right when you go. The whole staff is wonderful and you'll have an excellent culinary adventure. Until next time - ENJOY and...
Read moreIt hurts me to put a bad review, Tonight we went to El paso with my family, My little one is a very picky eater. We have tried foods from their kids menu in the past and little one does not like it, we have tried multiple times and tired of wasting our money on food that will not be eaten . But the rest of the family enjoys the food, We bought food somewhere else for The little one. This is not the the first time we have done this, No one has ever said anything before. Knowing that the rest of the family will have a great meal at El Paso. As my little one is eating, I see the different waitresses looking at us and small talking , finally the manager comes up and tells us we're not allowed to bring outside food, but the problem is we go there all the time and no one has ever said anything to us about it before. Because he is little, and we always get outside food for him.
I understand if it was more than one or if they were above age eating but this is not the case. I had to take away my little one's food while eating and he was very upset. He didn't understand why I had to take away his food.
Our business will be ending with this restaurant. I will make sure to tell my friends and family that they do not accommodate small children eating other foods. And I'm pretty sure if you have a disability or a dietary restriction and wanted to bring food from home or buy food. Just know you are not allowed to go to this restaurant because they only want you to buy their food. You cannot enjoy your specialized meal with the family in this...
Read moreWe were in town to visit George Washington's Mount Vernon. Since we were just passing through on our way home to Michigan we decided to stop and have dinner. The sign said "Authentic Mexican" and we both said, we've seen that before. But I really wanted Mexican so I pulled in. We were greeted before we even got in the door. The young man seated is quickly. While at our table we were very impressed with the decor and the huge menu with all those choices! It was difficult to choose so to base my decision on some other authentic Mexican food we have had I decided to order basically the same things I've had at other restaurants. I had the pick 3 combo with a hard shell taco, beef enchilada and a chili relleno. The meat in the taco was so so good. Then I dove into the enchilada. Well, it was SO good with the shredded beef! The amount of beef inside was very impressive and because of my over sized appetite but my small stomach I could not even finish it! No worries though, I know I'll be hungry again soon so I packed it up and brought it with me! Our waitress was good. She was very pleasant and patient as we looked over this large menu, however, when we were done eating and in need of a box it took quite some time to get her attention to being us the bill and a box. But if I lived in the area I would for sure be a regular probably once a week! If we are ever in the area again, and I know we will be, I will most...
