I really loved the nachos I had, normally I'm not big on cheese but these were real tasty and that honey coleslaw is actually an amazing twist on an otherwise boring side. Really excellent flavor makes it a highlight. Speaking of price, my nachos were a reasonable $16 for a huge plate that filled me up, but for appetizers they are quite overpriced. The bacon bombs in the picture are just meatballs with one strip of bacon around them, in bbq sauce. Sounds good, and they tasted great, but when you see there are only 5 and it costs $10? Nah. My friends had the Mac and cheese, I tried it and it was very meh. Only warm, as if it had been sitting there, and there was not too much cheese sauce which is a subjectively bad thing. I thought it was okay. Service was pretty nice, but I'm lumping price in to the service category here. The overall atmosphere was a standard restaurant interior but they do make a good effort to make it feel welcoming and it's a small thing but the multicolor chips in the nachos is a lot of personality.

Wings and bbq ON POINT!!! We were so impressed by this quaint and homey establishment in Mount vernon because the food quality is absolutely phenomenal. My friend and I shared shishito peppers, fried artichoke, 10 wings, the duo bbq platter, brisket cheesesteak & Fudge brownie sundae. All of it was delicious and I would come back for any of it on its own again. I brought leftovers back for my partner at home and he said that it was super good and really wants to come with me back here. The staff is amasing and provided good service all around. I also tried 2 drinks, one was a cbd based mocktail and the southern hospitality bramble. Both of which were yummy. Overall beyond a 10/10, I'll 100% be back here with some friends to eat all this delicious food again. If you're considering coming here, don't think, GO!!!! - Insta @ SpicyAivy

Located just over two miles north of Fort Belvoir's Tulley Gate, this newly opened restaurant proved to be a very delightful surprise. My husband and I had totally different meals and both meals were absolutely excellent. The chicken wings I had were big and plump and even juicy. My generous serving of French fries was cooked to perfection and served hot, as was my chicken. I was even treated to a side of celery sticks and carrots. My husband's beef brisket sandwich was also excellent, with a slow - cooked smokey taste. The restroom was very clean. And, in addition to all that, we were even given a military discount without asking for it when the gentleman processing our check saw my husband's I.D. card as he was getting out a credit card! Food and service doesn't get any better than this.

This review encompasses my experiences over the past almost two years. Heidi was great when she worked here. Raana is great and still works here. I don't know the name(s) of others as they've never introduced themselves. Unfortunate considering this is the hospitality industry. The below review is from the past experiences and all remain true as of this review in 2024. The only update is that they subs are pretty good, mostly because I'm a cheese freak and they have good beer cheese.

I've been here roughly 30-35 times over the past year. I'm down to ordering their nachos and their fries. Wings (had 4 times) are dry for me (but if that's your thing you'll surely enjoy them). Smashburgers ( had ~5 times) had always been dry as well. I was hoping the fat content would compensate it being dry. The, I believe it's called Texas Toast ham and cheese (had 4 times) was a ham a cheese sandwich on what seemed american white bread. It wasnt loaded with ham as was described. Only once did it have thicker "Texas" toast. In short, my experiences here are based largely on inconsistent food output. Other items I won't get again: bacon bombs (dry), Mac and cheese (cold), any salad (so itty bitty), This is why I get the nachos ... Some days it would come with jalapenos, some days with slaw, some both, some neither, etc. But it's basic and I enjoy the cheese. Twice I was able to enjoy happy hour but the check didn't reflect what was priced out on the side chalkboard. This is my "7-11" of eateries. Nobody raves about 7-11 but you go bc it's convenient. I came here bc it's close to where I live ... But if Heidi is taking care of you, she's a dream. I hope you find better experiences. Just...

I’ve been wanting to stop in here since they’re located just a block or two from our house and was hoping they would be an upscale improvement on the Wingstop that was there before. I was sadly mistaken. I’d also like to preface this by saying it takes a lot for me to write a “bad review”. I’m not trying to drag this business through the mud so to speak, but I don’t think I’ll be giving this a second go.

I will say that the atmosphere/staff were very welcoming and the beer/liquor options were really nice. I think this could be a local hotspot if the food was on par with the rest of what they’re offering.

Underwhelming and pricey for what I ordered. Much to my surprise the $12 BBQ Pork Belly Burnt Ends were a total of three pieces. I understand it’s an appetizer, but $4 a piece is kind of crazy for such a cheap cut of meat like pork belly.

The Honey Lime Slaw had no honey and I could barely taste the lime. It was basically shredded red/white cabbage with specks of cilantro and some random bites of jalapeño. Dry. Not at all what I would consider a slaw, more of a cabbage salad.

The mac and cheese was dry and had a very weird chemical like aftertaste, maybe alcohol? Not entirely sure. I ordered the brisket and pulled pork, 1/2lb each and it too was sadly very bland and dry.

Half and half order of boneless chicken wings, mild buffalo and garlic parmesan. Again, these weren’t very good either. Ordered these for my sons and neither of them liked them, probably because the sauces were mixed together and in the same box. Then i tried them and it tasted more like fried fish than fried chicken, I would assume that the oil needs changed in the...

First time here and I have a lot of thoughts. I'm from the Kansas City area and consider myself an expert in bbq. We were a little hesitant given the potential strip mall aspect, but the ambience is just right for a BBQ restaurant: Homey, clean, nice. Good service, great beer, delicious food (overall). Beer selection: 5 stars. Truly excellent. The best beer selection on South Route 1 by far. Lots of local high-quality draft beer. BBQ sauce: Fantastic. And let's be serious, q great sauce can hide all sorts of problems at a BBQ restaurant. I really liked the dark mesquite and the mustard. Ribs: 5 stars. Really good. They looked kinda sad when they came out, but were absolutely delicious. Pulled pork: 4 stars. Very tasty, no complaints, but honestly pulled pork is hard to mess up. Fries: 5 stars. Delicious. Crispy, greasy in the right way. Cinnamon apples: 5 stars. Very good. So glad we got this side. Slaw: 4 stars. Very delicious, very chunky, vinegar slaw (not creamy). Complaint is no dill flavor and small quantity. Brisket: 1 star. Really not good at all. KC BBQ makes me spoiled perhaps, but this was hard to chew, too thickly cut and just not good. I actually chewed a bite so long without being able to swallow that I had to spit it in my napkin. This brisket needed a lot more time in a slow cooker to properly glutenize the meat. Brisket should fall apart. I hope they revamp their process and reintroduce a new and improved version in the future because overall an...
