We came in to town as our halfway point to stop and have some dinner. Went inside to order and had one other person waiting in line. Apparently he was waiting for a little while and was offered a large fry. He ended up handing it back because it was cold and was given a fresh batch. Once he left it was our turn to order. The lady in the front (Marjorie) greeted us and asked us what we’d like. We gave her our order and she recommended upsizing our meals and substituting regular fries for Curly Fries. Once our order was placed we were given our drink cups and then ran into another problem. There wasn’t any ice in the machine and all the teas were gone. We’re both very patient people and waited for her to come back to the counter to ask for ice from her well in the back. Once that was finished she gave us our “order”, asked us to leave a review (whether if it was good or bad), and we left back to our hotel. Prior to leaving we checked our bags and saw two sandwiches and two fries. Exactly what we ordered. So we returned to our room and were ready to eat until we noticed that our sandwiches were a bit small. We checked and ended up with two chicken sandwiches instead of two burgers. We kinda laughed and said damn we have to go back for what we paid for. Returned back and was met with a little rudeness from the cook (one of two people working at the time). She demanded if we were the guys that had such and such and we said yes ma’am. Marjorie (the cashier) profusely apologized and told us she wasn’t having the greatest shift today and we told her it was no problem at all and that she was doing great. She grabbed our sandwiches and asked us if they were correct and we said yes one of them but the other one wasn’t. The cook interrupted and said that’s the two burgers we ordered and Marjorie exclaimed that one said bacon burger and the other mushroom and Swiss. Which we agreed it did. The cook said look at the wrapper and we were looking hard and it said mushroom Swiss. Then the cook shouted to look under the burger which then we said oh there it is. Normally when you wrap a burger you wrap and cover the name of the burger that’s NOT what’s in the wrapper. As we were leaving the cook kept criticizing the cashier in the front for her mistakes and didn’t have one good thing to say to her. I get it was just the two of the but if you’re barking and belittling the newbie, she’s not gonna properly get things done right in order for smooth service.

Two of the vehicles in our group had wanted to order meals with chicken in it and were told that they were down to only 1 fryer and would be over a ten minute wait. The third vehicle in our group was told that because there was already 4 orders ahead of them they would not be able to be served. The lady taking the order gave off the impression that she didn't want to take the time to make the orders even though the store had but one other customer at the time we had pulled in, which is unprofessional. It's unfortunate, because after a long drive we were hoping to be without a headache for dinner. Hopefully with this the service improves. We were also shorted two drinks and a sandwich we had ordered was incorrect. We had arrived at 8:30 PM and the store still had until 10:00 PM to close. Staff continually making mistakes with orders and claiming the customers were to blame. No clear direction from the shift manager as she told the employee it wasn't her fault. We order a strawberry shake, she made a vanilla shake. The couple in front of us having to repeat their need for dressing for their salad. It took three employees to get it right. Good grief the flies in there were disgusting. If we weren't trying to get back on the road we would have asked for our money back and went somewhere else.
