This was our first time staying at a Hilton, and when we first walked in, it had a wonderful smell. It was beautiful on the inside. The staff was helpful, and they were great all around. I have a service dog, and other hotels have given me issues with him before but not the Hilton, they said they were happy to accommodate us. The attached bar is wonderful, and the bartender was great. My significant other said the drinks were strong and the service was the best. The hot tub looked like it could have been cleaned, but it was warm and just what we needed, the pool was warm, which was perfect because it was cold outside. The room was nice, no fridge, so that was a con but the bed was nice and big and super comfortable. The shower was slightly small and there was hair on the shelf, but otherwise, it was ok. The part that really upset us was the neighbors decided to throw a rager at 130 in the morning to which it sounded as if a woman was being attacked, music was blaring, sounded as if they were running around, screaming. We called to see if the front desk would ask them to be quiet or move us, they asked them to be quiet and things just seemed to be louder after that, it sounded like things were being thrown into the walls and more screaming by the woman or women, men screaming at the women, we called back down and said they needed to do something now and we wanted our money back this was not the kind of stay you expect for 200+ a night hotel stay. The people next door were escorted out of the building as far as we were told and we were able to get some good sleep for the next 4 hours. There were other complaints from other guests about said guest also. The front desk was as helpful as they could be with us and said we would have to wait until Monday to see if we could get our money back or what could be done. Hilton itself was a great experience and we don't fault the hotel for the poor choices of our neighboring guests. We would stay at the Hilton again
Edit: Every time we contacted Hilton, they would give us the run around, and we never received any refunds as they...
Read moreThe Doubletree is in need of some serious housekeeping and maintenance attention and should not bear the Hilton name. We checked into a room on the second floor. Upon walking into the room, it was quite humid feeling and a smell that indicated moisture issues. The air filter overhead was filthy and looked like it had not been changed in quite some time. There were what looked like dryer sheets shoved into the air flow vent (maybe to soak up moisture and hide the damp smell, idk?) The sheets appeared clean but there was a thick layer of dust on all the surfaces and in the light fixture covers. The tv was greasy looking, like it had been wiped with a dirty cleaning rag.
In the bathroom, there was a ring of the pinky-red bacteria all along the caulking edge of the shower base and the bottom of the shower was textured to prevent falls. A noticeable layer of black grime was in the textured grooves. The floor had hairs on it. Only the sink looked like it had been cleaned, but the corners were full of grime too.
We requested a new room after inspecting the first. The second room was only marginally better. It was on the 4th floor and had a different style of HVAC system. It did not seem as damp as the first room. However, the shower was equally as bad as the first, the floors were in the same condition.
Something sticky like a big wad of gum was by the nightstand and my sandal stuck to it before I noticed it was there. There were noticeable (questionable) stains on the chair in the room and the small table next to it had not been cleaned. There was what I assumed was a dried ketchup spot on it. The cabinet door to the fridge was broken and super hard to close.
In the bathroom there was a pill left on the floor under the vanity, lots of hair, dirt and a couple small dead bugs.
The only positive takeaway from our stay was the front desk staff and the breakfast area staff being super kind and helpful. Wish the managers, owners, housekeeping and maintenance staff offered the same amount of...
Read moreGlad we were only stopping for the night. The positives were the staff was friendly and the room was ready upon arrival. The bed linen was clean as well as the room looked like it has been cleaned. ||We had booked a standard king and as Diamond members were upgraded to a king with Balcony. The Balcony rooms overlook the interior 3-story atrium. While this meant no noise pollution from the nearby highway the potential was there to hear everything in the atrium, thankfully it was quiet night when we were there. The biggest disadvantage was the light from the atrium. They supposedly turn off the lights at 11pm when I asked but there are several lights that stay on all night. The French shades do not adequately block the light. ||This hotel has a lot of wear and tear, you can see it with the elevators, hallway carpets and in the room with scuffs on all the furniture as well as staining in the corners of the showers.||For Gold and Diamond members there is no Food and Beverage Credit, instead the hotel gives a complimentary breakfast buffet for all guests. Also there are no Diamond Member Parking spots.||We did not receive a cookies or our two bottles of water upon check in.||There are Tesla Supercharger’s next to the restaurant attached to the hotel that serve as the advertised EV charging. Every other Hilton we have stayed at that advertises EV charging has level 2 plugs for free. Kinda seemed like false adverting on the Hilton site. ||Next time we are traversing the country and come through this way I will pick a different hotel. ||Hotel management if your reading this please let people know about the atrium light issue and give them a choice if the want the upgrade or not, make sure to at least hand out the water to Hilton rewards members, make sure those staying know there is no food and beverage credit and stop advertising you have EV charging, you have A Tesla Supercharger Station on site that customers have to pay to use which is not the same thing in the world of...
